국문 초록

This paper attempts to analyze the cultural crossings of American music (jazz), Korean stowaway musicians, and Korean-Japanese musicians accepted through the passage of the U.S. military, focusing on Japan’s rapid economic growth period, when the National Identity, which was dismantled after the defeat, emerged. South Korea and Japan face the postwar period in the opposite form of liberation and defeat, but share a common historical experience of accepting American music through the U.S. military occupation period (or the U.S. military base after the San Francisco Treaty) and the U.S. military regime (or the 8th Army after the Korean War). As a result, it was confirmed that the post-liberation US popular music acceptance process was not just the withdrawal of the Japanese music industry and unilateral jazz acceptance by the US military, but also the cultural influence left by the Japanese Empire after the Korean War.

영문 초록

本稿では、敗戦後に解体されたナショナル·アイデンティティーが再構築され始める日本の高度経済成長期を中心に、米軍という通路を通して受容されたアメリカ音楽(ジャズ)と韓国人密航音楽家、そして在日朝鮮人音楽家の文化横断について分析を試みた。 日韓は解放と敗戦という相反する形で戦後を迎えるが、米軍占領期(またはサンフランシスコ講和条約以降の米軍基地)と米軍軍政期(または朝鮮戦争以降の米8軍)によるアメリカ音楽の受容という共通の歴史的経験を共有している。 その結果、戦後アメリカ大衆音楽の受容のプロセスは、単に日本のレコード産業の撤退や米軍による一方的なジャズの受容だけではなく、戦前からの日本帝国が残した文化的影響はもとより、朝鮮戦争後の韓国音楽家の日本活動や在日韓国人の人的交流を通じて、韓米日の構図の中で形成されていくことになる。本稿では、このような重畳的な関係性の中で独自の位置を取り戻していく韓国大衆音楽の人的ネットワークを明らかにした。
