국문 초록

이 연구에서는 다문화청소년패널조사 자료를 활용하여 우리나라 다문화가정 어머니의 스트레스 유형에 따른 잠재집단을 구분하고 이에 영향을 미치는 요인들의 효과와 집단별 자녀특성 차이를 살펴보았다. 잠재프로파일 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우리나라 다문화가정 어머니의 스트레스 프로파일은 전반적으로 스트레스 수준이 낮은 집단(47.1%), 전반적으로 스트레스 수준이 높은 집단(13.6%), 문화적응 스트레스는 낮으나 일상스트레스는 높은 집단(13.5%), 문화적응스트레스는 높으나 일상스트레스는 낮은 집단(25.8%)으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 스트레스 프로파일 유형구분에는 한국거주기간, 가구소득, 어머니학력, 자아존중감, 신체적 건강, 심리적 건강, 부모효능감, 중심가치관, 모국에 대한 자부심, 사회적 지지자, 다문화가족 프로그램이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 스트레스 프로파일 유형에 따른 자녀의 발달특성 차이를 살펴보았을 때, 자녀의 문화적응스트레스, 자아존중감, 삶의 만족도와 교우관계 및 교사관계에서 유의한 차이가 발견되었다. 어머니의 스트레스 수준이 낮은 집단의 자녀들이 문화적응 스트레스가 낮고, 자아존중감과 삶의 만족도가 높으며, 교우관계 및 교사관계가 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 연구의 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study were to identify latent stress profiles among mothers in multicultural families, and to test the effects of factors which determining these profiles; multicultural youths development according to their mother s stress profile also analyzed by using the data taken from the Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, there were four subgroups according to the patterns of multicultural family mother s stress: Low stress group (47.1%), High stress group (13.6%), High acculturative - low daily life stress group (13.5%), and Low acculturative - high daily life stress group (25.8%). Second, the significant determinants of these groups were resident period, household income, mother s academic background, self-esteem, physical health, psychological health, parents efficacy, main values, national pride, social supporter, and program for multicultural families. Third, there were significant differences in multicultural youths acculturative stress, self-esteem, life satisfaction, peer and student-teacher relationships according to their mother s stress profile. Students with mother in low stress group showed low acculturative stress, high self esteem and life satisfaction, and good relationship with their friends and teachers. Based on these results, the implications of this study were discussed.
