유통점포의 효율성 분석 사례

국문 초록

패션업체 A사의 사례를 중심으로 패션 소매유통점의 효율성을 분석하였다. 연구표본은 패션기업 A사의 가두 대리점 104개의 2017년에서 2019년까지 3개년 자료이다. 투입변수는 직원 수, 임차료, 입점 브랜드 수, 산출변수는 매출액과 고객 수이다. 분석결과, 104개의 점포 중에서 11개 점포가 기술 효율성과 순수기술 효율성이 모두 효율적이다. 상대적으로 비효율적인 점포가 93개(89.4%)로 대부분의 점포가 효율성 개선이 필요하다. 비효율성의 원인은 순수기술 효율성에 기인한 경우가 89개점으로, 이는 많은 점포에서 운영면의 비효율성이 발생하는 것을 의미한다. 규모수익형태와 함께 고려하면, 규모수익증가(IRS)이면서 비효율성 원인이 순수기술 효율성에 있는 점포가 가장 많은 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 점포의 경우 운영의 효율성 개선과 함께 투입 규모를 증가시키면서 효율성을 높여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 비효율적인 점포의 단계적 효율성 개선을 위해 자료포락분석 모형을 계층화하는 Tier 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 가장 비효율적인 DMU 10개의 Tier 분석결과를 통해 8단계의 벤치마킹 경로를 도출하였다. 이는 기존연구에서 기본 DEA 모형을 통해 벤치마킹 대상을 선정할 경우 나타나는 비현실적인 개선목표의 한계점을 보완한 것으로, 단계별 벤치마킹 경로와 개선목표를 통해 실질적인 효율성 개선방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The efficiency of fashion retail stores was analyzed focusing on the case of fashion company A. The research sample is three-year data from 2017 to 2019 of 104 street agencies of fashion company A. Input variables are rent, number of employees, number of brand stores, and output variables are sales and number of customers. As a result of the analysis, 11 out of 104 stores were efficient in both technical efficiency and pure technology efficiency. With 93 (89.4%) relatively inefficient stores, most of them need efficiency improvement. The cause of inefficiency was pure technology efficiency in 89 cases, which means that many stores have operational inefficiencies. When considered together with the scale-revenue form, it was analyzed that the largest number of stores had an increase in scale-return (IRS) and the cause of inefficiency was pure technology efficiency. In the case of such stores, it is necessary to increase the efficiency while increasing the input size along with the improvement of the operational efficiency. In this study, a tier analysis was performed to stratify the data envelope analysis model to improve the efficiency of inefficient stores step by step. As a result of the analysis, an 8-step benchmarking path was derived through the value of the 10 most inefficient DMU tier analysis results. This supplemented the limitations of unrealistic improvement goals that appeared when benchmarking targets were selected through the basic DEA model in previous studies, and suggested practical efficiency improvement plans through step-by-step benchmarking paths and improvement goals.
