국문 초록

트랜스미디어 스토리텔링은 복수의 미디어와 장르 그리고 생산 주체를 가로질러 스토리 세계를 확장적으로 구축해나가는 스토리텔링 전략 혹은 그러한 세계를 의미한다. 트랜스미디어 스토리텔링에서 일관성은 콘텐츠의 정체성을 유지하고 수용자들의 몰입과 참여를 끌어내는 데 있어 핵심적인 속성이다. 하지만 그 중요성에 비해 통합적인 논의와 정의가 이루어지지 않아 혼동이 있으며, 분석 방법에 관한 체계적인 연구도 부족한 형편이다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 논문은 트랜스미디어 스토리텔링의 일관성에 관한 개념 체계와 분석 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 관련 연구들을 포괄적으로 검토하여 트랜스미디어 스토리텔링의 일관성에 관한 개념 체계를 만들고, 트랜스미디어 스토리텔링의 구성요소에 관한 논의들을 바탕으로 트랜스미디어 스토리텔링의 일관성 분석 항목을 선정하였다. 그리고 개념 체계와 분석 항목을 연결하여 구체적인 분석 내용과 방법을 제안하였다. 본 논문은 트랜스미디어 스토리텔링의 일관성에 관한 기초 연구로서, 트랜스미디어 콘텐츠 기획 및 분석과 관련 교육에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

Transmedia storytelling is a storytelling strategy or a world that expands the story across multiple media, genres, and subjects. Consistency in transmedia storytelling is a key attribute in maintaining the content identity, contributing to recipients’ immersion and participation. However, the concept causes confusion due to the lack of integrated discussion and definition compared to its importance, accompanied by a lack of systematic research on analysis methods. In this context, this paper proposes a conceptual system and analysis method to achieve the consistency in transmedia storytelling. First, related studies were comprehensively reviewed to create a conceptual system for the consistency in transmedia storytelling, and the analyzed items were selected based on discussions on the components of transmedia storytelling. In addition, specific analysis contents and methods were proposed by linking the conceptual system and analysis items. Thus, this paper is a foundation study on the consistency in transmedia storytelling, and it is expected to be effectively utilized in the planning and analysis of transmedia contents and related education.
