비판적 사고 향상을 위한 쓰기 교육 방안 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 비판적 사고를 향상시키기 위한 쓰기 교육 방안을 탐구하기 위하여 쓰기 교육을 담당하는 국어 교사의 인식을 조사하였다. 교사들이 인식하는 쓰기 교육에서 비판적 사고교육의 정의, 필요성, 가능성 등을 살펴보았다. 그리고 비판적 사고교육을 위한 쓰기 교육의 내용, 수업 사례, 그리고 쓰기 과제를 살펴보았다. 교사들은 쓰기 교육에서 가르칠 수 있는 구체적인 내용이 포함된 정의를 선호하였다. 교사들은 쓰기 교육에서 비판적 사고교육이 필요하며 실행 가능하다고 응답하였다. 그리고 일부 교사는 좀더 적극적으로 비판적 사고교육에 쓰기가 적절하다고 제시하기도 하였다. 한편, 쓰기 목적에 따라 비판적 사고의 필요성에 대한 인식의 차이가 나타났다. 설득하는 글쓰기에는 모든 교사들이 비판적 사고가 필요하다고 응답하였다. 그런데 정서 표현의 글이나 경험한 일 쓰기처럼 주관적인 정서와 개인적인 경험이 중심 내용이 되는 글에 대해서는 일부의 교사가 비판적 사고가 필요하지 않다고 응답하였다. 쓰기 교육을 통한 비판적 사고교육의 내용으로는 타당한 근거 제시, 명확한 논점 제시 등을 중요하게 인식하였다. 그리고 교사들이 제시한 수업 사례와 쓰기 과제에서 쓰기의 공통점은 자신의 생각이나 논점을 명확하게 제시하고, 타당한 근거와 신뢰성을 갖춘 근거를 제시하는 쓰기였다. 또한 쓰기 수업이지만 문학 텍스트를 활용한 수업 사례가 많이 제시되었다.

영문 초록

In this study, the perception of Korean language teachers in charge of writing education was investigated in order to study writing education to improve critical thinking. The definition, necessity, and possibility of critical thinking education in writing education were examined. In addition, the content of critical thinking education through writing education and the methods of critical thinking education in writing education were examined. Teachers preferred definitions that included specifics that could be taught in writing education. Every teacher responded that critical thinking education is necessary and feasible in writing education. Some teachers clearly suggested that writing is appropriate for critical thinking education. On the other hand, the need for critical thinking differed depending on the purpose of writing. Every teacher responded that critical thinking is necessary for persuasive writing. However, some teachers suggested that critical thinking is not necessary for texts where subjective emotions and personal experiences are the main content, such as writing involving emotional expressions or experiences. As for the content of critical thinking education through writing education, it was recognized as important to present valid evidence and clear issues. In addition, the common point of writing in the instruction case and writing assignments presented by teachers was writing that clearly presents one’s own thoughts or points and presents valid and reliable evidence. Additionally, although this was a writing class, many examples of classes using literary texts are presented.
