국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생들을 대상으로 하여 투자확신과 투자성과에 대한 성별차이와 성별과 투자확신정도에 따른 투자성과 차이를 검증하였다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 투자확신(설문), 투자확신(성과) 및 회전율은 남자가 여자보다 높은 것으로 나타났고, 수익률은 여자가 남자보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 남자가 투자확신이 높아 더 많은 거래를 하게 되며 이는 수익률 저하로 이어진다는 선행연구들은 지지되었다. 둘째, 고확신집단 내에서 회전율과 수익률의 남녀 차이는 있는 것으로 나타났으나, 저확신집단 내에서 회전율과 수익률의 남녀 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 회전율에서는 남녀와 투자확신정도에 따른 집단 간의 상호작용효과는 없으나 수익률에서는 남녀와 투자확신정도에 따른 집단 간의 상호작용효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study targeting on the university student was to test the effect of gender and degree of investment confidence on investment performance. The differences with previous studies were investment confidence (performance) variables newly added and samples specifically divided into groups depending on the degree of confidence. The findings were summarized as follows. First, the degree of investment confidence (survey), the degree of investment confidence and turnover ratio were higher in males than in females, while yield was higher in females than in males. Thus, the previous research was supported that men who had a higher investment confidence took more trading which caused to lower the rate of return. Second, there was gender difference of turnover and yield in the high confidence group and was not in low confidence group. Turnover did not bring about the interaction effect on gender gap and investment confidence, however, it was examined that yield caused the interaction effect on gender gap and investment.
