생존분석에서 경쟁위험을 고려한 이탈률 추정 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 경쟁위험모형의 주요 내용을 소개하고 이동통신사 데이터를 이용하여 경쟁위험을 고려하였을 때와 고려하지 않았을 때의 결과를 서로 비교하였다. 주요 관심사건은 통화품질에 불만을 가지고 이탈한 경우이며 경쟁위험 사건은 통화품질이 아닌 요금제에 불만을 가지고 이탈한 경우로 정의하였다. 요금제 불만을 가지고 이탈한 경우를 중도절단으로 처리하고, 통화품질 불만으로 이탈한 경우의 위험률을 추정했을 때와 요금제 불만을 가지고 이탈한 경우를 경쟁위험으로 고려하고 통화품질 불만으로 이탈한 경우의 위험률을 추정했을 때 후자의 경우가 추정된 위험률이 낮아짐을 확인할 수 있었다. 즉, 경쟁위험을 중도절단으로 처리하면 누적위험률의 계산에 영향을 주므로 실제 순수한 관심사건의 누적 위험률보다 과대추정됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 경쟁위험을 고려한 경우와 고려하지 않은 경우가 서로 상반되는 결론이 내려질 있으며, 경쟁위험의 상황에서는 이들을 고려하여 분석을 수행하는 것이 바람직하다고 하겠다.

영문 초록

Survival analysis is a methodology to estimate the probability for survival time until certain event occur. Survival analysis is the processing that the researchers’s non-interested event make censored. In presence of competing risk, non-interested event should not be treat censored, because the survival rate of interested event can not know. Therefore, in competing risk presence, non-interested event should be treat by second interested event. In this study, the Kaplan-Meier method and the competing risk models was compared using from mobile communications company’s data. Also, the Kaplan-Meier method and the competing risk models was compared by gender. In this study, we introduce the main points of the competing risk models and compared the result considering competing risk with the result not considering competing risk, by using mobile phone service data. In many cases, according to considering competing risk or not, the results can be much different. Therefore, in presence of competing risk, the analysis considering competing risk should be performed.
