붓스트랩을 통한 공간자료의 분석

국문 초록

공간선형회귀모형에서는 종속변수에 내재된 공간 상관성을 모형화하기 위하여 공분산모형(covariance model) 혹은 세미베리오그램(semi-variogram)을 추정하는데 여기에는 공간적 연관구조를 나타내는 모수들을 포함한다. 이 모수들을 추정하기 위해 가중최소제곱법(weighted least squares estimation), 최대우도추정법(maximum likelihood estimation), 잔차최대우도추정법(residual maximum likelihood estimation) 등이 사용된다. 그러나 이러한 모수추정방법들은 모수의 구간추정(interval estimation)을 근사적인 형태로만 이루어지게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이들 모수의 신뢰구간을 구하기 위해 붓스트랩(bootstrap) 방법을 적용하였다. 붓스트랩 방법으로는 공분산함수(covariance function)를 분해하여 붓스트랩 표본을 생성하는 방법과 잔차(residual)가 따르는 다변량 정규분포에서 난수를 생성하여 붓스트랩 표본을 생성하는 방법을 사용하였다. 그리고 공간자료에서 자료들 간의 연관성을 유지시켜주기 위해 사용하는 블록(block) 붓스트랩 방법을 제안하고, 블록의 개수를 정하는 기준에 대하여 설명하였다. 제안한 방법들을 비교하기 위해 모의실험을 수행하였고, 풍속자료를 이용하여 제안된 방법들을 적용해 분석하였다.

영문 초록

In the spatial linear regression model, we estimate the covariance model or the semivariogram, each of which contains several parameters representing the spatial association in order to include distance the spatial association into the error term. For estimating these parameters, we usually employ the weighted least method, the maximum likelihood estimation, or the residual maximum likelihood estimation. However, it is implausible to obtain the confidence intervals of the parameters using the common estimation methods. In this paper, we introduce some bootstrapping methods to make the interval estimation possible. We also propose block bootstrapping methods and how to determine the number of blocks. To compare the various bootstrapping methods, we use the simulation studies and the analysis of wind speed data.
