여성 독거노인의 우울에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 여성독거노인의 특성을 이해하고 여성독거노인의 우울에 관련된 변인과 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악할 목적으로 시도되었다. 자료수집은 서울과 충청북도, 강원도에 거주하는 65세 이상 혼자 사는 여성노인 270명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 일대일 면담에 의하여 이루어졌다. 자료는 SPSS WIN 14.0을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, Tukey test, 상관관계 분석과 단계적 변수선택법에 의한 다중회귀분석을 사용하였다. 연구결과 여성독거노인의 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인은 건강지각과 인지된 사회적 지지이었다. 즉 건강지각이 좋을수록, 인지된 사회적 지지가 높을수록 우울점수는 감소하였다. 따라서 여성독거노인의 우울증을 예방하고 우울 성향을 감소시키기 위해서는 의료적인 지원과 지역사회의 지속적인 사회적 지지가 필요하며 우울증 선별검사와 주기적인 우울 상태 점검이 이루어져야 할 것으로 보이며 이에 대한 건강증진 프로그램 개발이 요구된다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study was conducted to understand the characteristics of elderly women living alone, to verify the variables related to depression, and the factors contributing to depression among elderly women living alone. Method: The data was collected from 270 elderly women who live by themselves in Seoul, North-Chungcheongdo, and Kangwondo and they were over 65 years of age. The data was done by structural survey through the 1:1 interview. T-test, ANOVA, Tukey test, correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression were used to analyze this data through the SPSS, WIN14.0. Results: The degree of depression is different between variable groups such as the level of education, length of period living alone, income satisfaction, religious engagement, leisure activity, and current disease. There was a negative correlation between depression and perceived social support, self-reported health, and ADL. The two factors that affect to depression, from the result of multiple regression by the stepwise selection, were health perception and perceived social support. Conclusion: In order to prevent or decrease the depression among elderly women who do not have family to live together, health management, social support and development of health promotion program are also required.
