범죄 유형에 따른 PAI 군집분석 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 현재 국내 교도소에 수감되어 있는 재소자들을 범죄 유형별로 조사하여 성격평가 질문지(PAI; personality assessment inventory) 응답에 기초해 군집분석을 실시한 결과이다. 연구결과, 7개 범죄집단 하위유형에 따라 개별 하위척도의 상승정도가 서로 달랐고 군집분석 결과, 대표적인 10가지 프로파일 유형을 추출할 수 있었다. 각 범죄집단의 PAI 프로파일과 척도의 상승 정도는 범죄집단의 성격과 증상을 잘 반영하였고, 10개 군집의 척도들을 비교한 후, 상위 3개의 척도가 공통적으로 나타나는 군집들의 경우 유사군집으로 분류하였으며, 평균범위(65점 이하)의 수준을 보이는 군집일 경우 평균범위군집으로 재분류하였다. 10개의 군집 중 5개의 군집에서 부정적인 인상 척도가 높아 피의자가 지나치게 자신의 현실에 대해 부정적으로 과장하여 나타냄으로써 면담자로부터 도움을 받고자 하는 의도를 보였고 행동문제와 치료척도 중 알코올 문제(ALC; alcohol problem)과 자살관념(SUI; suicide ideation)이 4개의 군집에서 공통적으로 가장 상승한 척도로 나타났다. 군집별로 나타나는 독특한 임상척도 쌍에 대해서도 구체적인 논의를 진행하였다.

영문 초록

In this study, we performed cluster analyses in terms of prisoners’ responses to the PAI(Personality Assessment Inventory). As results, the seven types of crimes were observed to differ in the levels of individual sub-scales of PAI. And the results of cluster analysis produces ten profiles that can represent individual criminals. Specifically, profiles of each crime group appropriately reflect personalities and characteristics corresponding groups. For further analyses, we created similar groups that share three higher-ranked sub-scales and, for each cluster, reclassified as mean range clusters when the each cluster show level of mean range (lower than 65). As results, in the five among the ten clusters, levels of negative impression was high indicating that the criminals showed intentions to be be helped by negatively exaggerating their own actualities. Further, ALC(alcohol problems) and SUI (suicide ideation) were observed to be most increased in 4 clusters. Unique pairs of clinical scale in each cluster were discussed.
