성인 애착과 정서 인식과의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 성인 애착과 정서 지능의 개념적 모형 중 가장 특징적인 요소로 알려진 정서 인식과의 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 성인 애착유형에 따라 정서 인식의 하위요인으로 알려진 정서 주의, 정서 명확성, 그리고 정서 개선에 차이가 있는지를 검증하였다. 대학생 128명을 연구 대상으로 하였으며, 정서 인식의 하위요인 간 상호상관을 가정하여 다변량 분산분석으로 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 성인 애착유형에 따라 정서 명확성과 정서 개선이 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 구체적으로 안정 애착유형의 사람들이 불안-회피 애착유형의 사람들에 비해 자신의 정서를 명확하게 경험하고 변별하는 정도와 자신의 부적 정서 상태를 종결시키고 긍정적 정서 상태를 지속시키려는 개선 정도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 성인 애착이 정서처리 과정의 기초가 되는 정서 인식 단계에서 정서 명확성과 정서 개선을 설명하는 유용한 개인차 변인임을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The present study investigated the relationship between adult attachment and emotional awareness that known as a main part in the construct of emotional intelligence. To investigate this relationship, we measured the degree of emotional attention, clarity, and repair as a three sub-scales in emotional awareness by adult attachment styles. 128 undergraduate students participated in the study and we used MANOVA based on inter-correlation among dependent variables. The results indicated that differences in emotional clarity and repair by adult attachment styles were significant. Specifically, people with a secure attachment style reported a greater degree of emotional clarity refers to the ability to discriminate among moods, and also emotional repair refers to the ability to repair unpleasant moods or maintain pleasant ones than anxious-avoidant attachment. These findings provide an evidence that adult attachment as an useful variable in the individual differences accounts for emotional clarity and repair as a sub-scales of emotional awareness which refers to the primary domain of the processing of emotional information.
