인지 과제 수행에서의 개인차 속성의 효과

국문 초록

웹 기반 실험 결과를 신뢰할 수 있는지 여부를 검증하기 위해 Stroop, Go/No-go 및 n-back 과제를 포함하는 웹 실험실을 구성하였다. 세 인지 과제는 웹 브라우저에서 실행되는 행동실험을 제작하기 위해서, jsPsych(JavaScript 라이브러리)에서 제공하는 플러그인을 사용하였다. 또한, Google 설문지를 사용하여 심리적 유연성, 행동활성화체계/행동억제체계(BAS/BIS) 및 민감성 척도를 통해 참가자의 개인차 속성을 측정하였다. 인지 과제의 수행 분석 결과 실험실 연구와 같은 Stroop 효과와 억제 효과가 나타났고, n-back 과제에서 인지부하량이 증가할수록 정확도는 감소했고, 응답시간이 증가하였다. 또한, 인지 과제 수행간의 상관관계와 개인차 속성인 심리적 유연성, BAS/BIS, 민감성간의 상관관계를 분석하였고, 인지 과제의 수행과 개인차 속성간에 상관관계도 분석하였다. 분석 결과 Stroop, Go/no-go 과제는 상관을 보였고, 이 두 과제와 n-back 과제간에 상관이 관찰되지 않았다. 개인차 속성인 재미추구, 민감성과 인지 과제인 Stroop, n-back 과제 수행간에 상관이 유의미하였는데, 재미추구 성형과 저감각역 점수가 클수록 Stroop 반응시간이 짧았고, 재미추구 점수 클수록 n-back 정확도도 높았다. 또한, 웹실험과 전통적인 실험실 실험에 수집된 자료의 분석 결과가 일치하는 것을 보였다.

영문 초록

In order to test whether the web-based experiment can be trusted, a web-laboratory was constructed including three cognitive tasks: Stroop, Go/No-go, and n-back tasks. These tasks were developed using the jsPsych (JavaScript library) to run in participants’ web browser. Also, the web-laboratory were included scales for measuring participants individual differences by psychological flexibility, behavioral activation system/behavior control system (BAS/BIS), and sensitivity scale. In the cognitive task analysis, the Stroop effect and the inhibitory effect are similar to those of laboratory studies. As cognitive load of n-back task increased, accuracy decreased and response time increased. In addition, the correlation between psychological flexibility, BAS/BIS, and sensitivity was analyzed, and correlations between performance of cognitive tasks and individual differences were also analyzed. The analysis showed that there were significant correlations between individual difference attributes (including fun seeking and sensitivity) and cognitive tasks (including Stroop and n-back tasks). This results imply that individual difference attributes can influence the performance of cognitive tasks. In addition, the present study showed that the results from the web experiment are consistent to the results from the traditional laboratory experiments.
