회전교차로에 대한 교통안전교육의 효과성 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 회전교차로에 대한 교통안전교육 및 홍보가 얼마나 효과성을 가지는지 알아보고자 실시되었다. 연구결과 운전자들은 회전교차로에 대한 교육 및 홍보의 필요성을 느끼고 있으며 사용방법에 대한 인식이 교육 및 홍보 정도에 의해서 영향을 받는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 또한, 회전교차로에 대한 장점을 인식할수록 확대설치에 대한 요구도 증가하고 있다. 이것은 운전자들이 회전교차로에 대한 인식과 관련한 법규에 대한 지식 그리고 회전교차로 이용 장점에 대한 교육 및 홍보가 많아질수록 더욱 안전하고 효율적으로 회전교차로를 이용할 수 있으며 더불어 회전교차로에 대한 긍정적 인식이 증가하여 확대설치 요구가 높아지게 됨을 나타내는 것이다. 나아가, 회전교차로 교육 및 홍보 전후의 회전교차로 이용 실태를 분석한 결과 회전교차로 진입차량에 대한 양보, 회전교차로 진입 시의 감속, 회전교차로 진출시의 방향지시등 사용이 높아졌다. 본 연구는 경북지역에만 한정되어 연구된 제한점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 경북지역의 회전교차로 교통안전교육 및 홍보에 대한 효과성을 다른 지역으로 확장하여 살펴볼 수 있을 것이다. 나아가 향후 회전교차로에 대한 교통안전교육 및 홍보에 대한 효과성을 다른 운전행동(음주운전, 과속운전, 난폭운전 등)으로 확대하여 살펴볼 수도 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of traffic safety education and publicity for the roundabout. The results of this study show that drivers feel the need for education and publicity about the roundabout, and that the perception of their use is influenced by the level of education and publicity. Also, as the advantages of the rotary intersection are recognized, the need for enlarged installation is also increasing. This means that as the knowledge and knowledge of the regulations related to the recognition of the turnover intersection and the advantages of the turnover intersection are more educated and promoted, the more reliable and efficient the turnover intersection can be used, indicating that installation requirements will be higher. In addition, the analysis of the actual use of the rotary intersection before and after the training of the rotary intersection showed that the concession for the basic intersection entrance vehicle, the deceleration when entering the roundabout, and the turn indicator when entering the rotary intersection were further increased. This study has limitations that have been studied only in Gyeongbuk area. Therefore, the effectiveness of traffic safety education and publicity at the turning intersection in Gyeongbuk area could be extended to other areas. Furthermore, the publicity for the next roundabout can be extended to other behavior.
