PSM기반 대졸취업자의 전공관련 취업 결정 요인에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 2008년, 2012년, 2016년 대졸자직업이동경로조사(graduate occupational mobility survey; GOMS) 자료를 사용하여 대졸자의 첫 일자리의 전공 일치여부에 영향을 주는 요인을 분석하였다. 선택 편의(bias)의 문제점이 발생될 수 있어 성향점수매칭(propensity score matching, PSM)을 활용하여 인적 변수인 성별, 전공, 지역을 유사하게 재설정하고 통제집단과 처리집단을 매칭 후 분석을 진행하였다. 성향점수매칭을 통해 매칭된 통제집단과 처리집단의 연도별 자료를 로지스틱 회귀모형(logistic regression model)을 사용하여 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 주요 연구결과를 도출하였다. 전공계열, 부모님의 학력, 부모님의 자산 등은 단순 취업 유무뿐만 아니라 첫 일자리 전공 일치에도 영향을 미치고 있었고, 구직 활동 경험, 어학연수 여부, 영어시험 여부, 토익 응시 여부, 교육 훈련 이수 여부, 부모님의 월평균 소득은 전공 관련 취업이 아닌 단순 취업에 유의미한 요인이다. 시간에 따라 전공 일치 취업에 중요도가 높아지는 요인은 전공, 취업목표 여부, 국공사립, 성별, 부모님 동거 여부, 아버지 최종학력, 어머니 최종학력이고, 낮아지는 요인은 전공 지식 도움 정도, 혼인 여부, 학교 유형, 본분교, 종사상 지위가 있었다. GOMS는 대졸자의 취업을 목적으로 조사되어 전공자의 전공관련 취업 결정 요인을 분석하는데 한계점이 존재한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to identify the factors influencing the major of college graduates to the first job through 2008, 2012, and 2016 graduate occupational mobility survey (GOMS) data. To overcome the problem of selection bias, propensity score matching (PSM) was used to match the gender, major, and region as human variables. The logistic regression model was used to analyze the yearly data between control group and the treatment group. The results of the study are as follows. The major, the educational level of parents, and the assets of their parents were influencing not only the presence of a job but also the relativeness of the first job. However, the experience of job search activities, language training, English test, TOEIC, monthly income were significant factors in employment, not employment-related to major. The factors that have major-related employment according to time trend were the major, employment goal, the public-private, gender, parents cohabitation, father s educational background, and mother s educational background.
