일본문화수업을 통해 만들어진 일본에 대한 이미지

국문 초록

本研究では大学における日本文化の授業を通して日本に対する情報をど のくらい習得できるか、または、日本に対してどのようなイメージを形成されるのかについて調査した。授業の前の事前調査より事後調査のほうが日本に対する情報が増えている。学生の日本に対する情報が増えていくにつれて日本に対する理解度が高まったと考えれる。具体的には「日本の首都、国土の大きさ、政治体制、貨幣、経済順位、日本の現在の年号」については80％以上の情報を習得していた。一方、「日本の島の構成、正式な国家名、人口順位、日本人の名字の種類」は65％以下の情報を得ていることがわかった。 日本文化の授業を受けて、日本に対するイメージが変ったのかについて は多くの学生は以前否定的に考えていたが、肯定的に変り、日本と日本人に関する多様な情報を得ることができたと述べている。しかし、相変わらず否定的なイメージがあると答えている学生もいた。肯定的なイメージの要因としては伝統文化の受け継ぎ、配慮·親切、礼儀重視などがある。否定的なイメージの要因としては歴史問題を最も指摘しており、歴史問題については歴史の認識及び日本政府の態度·対策などが間違っていると指摘している。

영문 초록

The study examined and analyzed how much information students obtained about Japan through Japanese culture classes and how they acquired the image of Japan. Information about Japan has increased in the post-survey rather than in pre-survey. More than 80 percent of the students had an opportunity to learn about the capital of Japan, national territory size, political system, monetary unit, economic class and the terms of the historic period. Meanwhile, less than 65 percent of students were aware of the Japanese Islands, the official name of Japan, population ranking and the types of Japanese family name. As for the question of how the image of Japan has changed or not, most students have reacted negatively, but described it as an opportunity to discover various advantages. Factors of positive image include the succession of traditional culture, consideration, kindness, courtesy and craftsmanship. However, they pointed to historical issues as a factor in its negative image. Also the duality in the Japanese temperament of Honne and Tatemae also worked as a major cause of negative image.
