국문 초록

본 연구는 긍정심리학 관점에서 학교 운동장의 공간 문화를 이해하는 데 목적이 있었다. 이 연구는 2018년 3월부터 6월까지 수도권 소재의 하늘교육대학에 재학 중인 초등 예비교사 9명을 연구참여자로 선정하여 인터뷰를 실시하였고, 연구자의 운동장 일지를 토대로 자료를 수집하였으며, Spradley(1979)가 제안한 영역 분석과 분류 분석을 활용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 일상생활 속 운동장의 모습은 남학생들의 전유물, 뛰어놀면서 여가를 즐기는 곳, 등․하교 시 이동하는 길, 소통의 공간 그리고 시끄러움과 조용함이 공존하는 곳 등의 다양한 역할을 수행하고 있었다. 수업 속학교 운동장은 교사 주도형 수업, 적극성과 소극성을 동시에 드러나도록 하는 체험의 장소, 규칙과 일탈 등이 공존하는 모습을 보였다. 학교 운동장의 경험적 가치를 보면 학생들이 자신의 신체활동을 배우는 장소인 동시에 친구들과의 소통의 통로가 되었다. 또한 개인적인 측면과 사회적인 측면에서 사회적 상호작용을 이끄는 의미있는 장소가 되었다. 초등예비교사들은 그동안의 학교체육을 경험하면서 운동장에서 펼쳐지는 스포츠의 문화를 종합적으로 경험할 수 있었다. 즉 스포츠 경기 문화의 장, 개성을 펼치는 장, 놀이와 스포츠의 장이 되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to understand the spatial culture of school playground viewed from the perspective of positive psychology. From March to June 2018, 9 elementary school pre-service teachers attending Haneul Education University in the metropolitan area were interviewed, and their data analysed using Spradley’s (1979) area and classification analyses. The school playground in daily life has been a place where boys play, can enjoy their leisure time, travel through during school hours, communicate with each other, and where both noise and silence can coexist. The school playground during class has been a place of teacher-driven classes, a place of experience that shows both positive and negative aspects, and where rules and deviance. When looking at the experiential values of the school playground, it is a place where students are given access to physical activity while interacting with friends. It has also become a meaningful place to lead social interaction on both personal and social fronts. Additionally, through observing school sports, preliminary teachers were able to attain a comprehensive understanding of the school sports culture. In other words, it has become a cultural arena for sports, a place of individuality, games and exercise.
