국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 드라마를 활용한 국내 초등영어교육 연구의 동향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 초등학생을 대상으로 드라마를 활용하여 영어교육을 연구한 80편의 사례를 수집하여 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서는 드라마를 활용한 초등영어교육을 교육과정 시기별로 양적 변화, 출판 경향, 연구 대상, 연구 유형 및 방법, 연구 주제, 드라마교육의 세부 내용(기법, 내용, 대본 제작 주체)으로 나누어 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 드라마를 활용한 초등영어교육 연구는 2007년부터 2014년까지 양적으로 감소하 다가 2015년부터 증가했고, 5-6학년 중심으로 연구되었다. 또한, 학위논문이 학술지 논문보다 더 많이 발표되었다. 연구는 실험연구와 혼합연구가 상승하고 있었다. 연구자들은 연구 주제에 있어서 정의적 영역(흥미도), 언어기능, 의사소통을 다룬 연구를 선호하고 있었다. 드라마교육 기법은 창의적인 즉흥극이 상승 추세에 있었고, 아동문학을 활용한 과정 중심의 교육연극이 강세에 있었다. 대본은 학생들이 협동 작업을 통해 작성하는 것이 증가하고 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends of primary English education using drama in Korea. This study selected 80 studies on teaching English language using drama for primary school students and analyzed the research trends based on sub-categories such as quantitative change, publication trends, subjects, research types, methodologies, research topics, and details of drama education (drama techniques, drama contents, making scripts) according to each research period. The results showed that the studies on drama education have decreased from 2007 to 2014 and then increased since 2015 centered around the grades 5 and 6. Experimental researches and the mixed research of quantitative and qualitative method have increased more in unpublished dissertations than in journal articles. The study also found frequency priorities of research topics as in a order of affective factors (learning interest), language function and communication skills. The improvisation and creation of scripts through students cooperation in group activities have increased due to the increasing awareness of introducing process drama using children s literature into English classes.
