국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 교과목에 대한 긍정적 태도 형성에 미치는 요인을 분 석하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 ‘교육방법 및 교육공학’을 수강하는 108명의 학생을 대 상으로 의미분석법(semantic differential method)을 이용한 교과목 태도 측정과 교 과목 태도 변화 에 대한 자기보고 방식의 평가를 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교과목에 대한 태도 측정 및 학생들의 자기보고에 대한 결과 모두 강의 전에 비해 긍정적으로 변화하였다. 둘째, 학생들이 인식한 태도 형성 요인은 수업방 법 및 전략, 수업내용, 자신의 수업참여, 교수자 순으로 분석되었고, 이는 교사를 가 장 중요한 요인으로 보는 초?중?고 학생들과 다른 양상을 보였다. 셋째, 자신의 학습참여가 중요하다고 여기는 학생들은 수업방법 및 전략 및 수업내용과 같이 교 과목에 대한 태도 변화를 일으키는 외부 요인을 중요시 여기는 학생들에 비해 교과 목에 대해 더 긍정적이었다. 이를 통해 대학교육에서 학생들이 교과목에 대한 긍정 적 태도 형성을 위한 수업설계 방향에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze factors which might have positive impacts on an attitude change towards a specific subject in higher education level. To achieve the objective, surveys were conducted with 108 students who took a subject of ‘Teaching method and Educational technology both by using Semantic Differential Method suggested by Osgood to analyze an attitude towards the subject and by self-reporting to analyze an attitude change towards the subject. The findings are as follows. First, it was identified from both surveys and self-reporting that students showed a positive attitude change toward the subject after a term of lecture. Second, factors affecting on an attitude change towards the subject revealed instructional methods and strategies, contents, self-participation, instructors, etc. in order. It proved that important factors on an attitude change in higher education might be different from primary and secondary school levels which might be crucially influenced by instructors. Third, students who consider internal locus such as ‘self-participation’ as a main factor on an attitude change have a more positive attitude of the subject than those who think external locus such as ‘instructional method and strategies’, and ‘contents’ to be important. Based on those results, implications on how to design instructions in order to improve students’ attitude towards subjects were discussed.
