결혼이주여성들의 자녀 진로교육 인식과 경험에 관한 질적 사례연구

국문 초록

한국 사회는 빠른 속도로 다문화 사회로 진입하고 있으며 이에 따라 다문화 가정 과 다문화 가정의 자녀 수 또한 급격히 증가하고 있다. 그러나 다문화 가정의 자녀에 대한 관심은 단순히 이들의 적응과 문제점에만 치우쳐 왔을 뿐 새로운 다문화 사회 의 주체가 되어야 할 이들의 진로교육에 대한 논의는 매우 부족하였다. 따라서 이 연 구는 결혼이주여성 다섯 명의 질적 사례연구를 통해 다문화 가정에서 이루어지는 자 녀 진로교육에 대한 인식과 그 경험을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구결과 결혼이주여성들은 첫째, 교육에 대한 절실함과 자녀에 대한 믿음을 바탕 으로 자녀의 진로에 대한 높은 기대와 이상적인 직업관을 가지고 있었다. 둘째, 이들 의 진로교육은 교육환경 조성과 정보 수집, 지역의 다양한 교육자원 활용, 그리고 스 스로 진로교육의 모델링을 보여주기 등으로 나타났으며 문화의 차이로 인한 갈등과 모순, 정보부족으로 인한 막연함 등의 어려움 또한 경험 하고 있었다. 이러한 연구결 과를 통하여 결혼이주여성들이 보다 적극적으로 자녀의 진로교육에 참여하고 동반 성장 할 수 있는 사회적 여건마련, 문화적 차이를 해소하고 구체적인 진로정보를 제 공할 수 있는 부모교육의 제공, 다문화 가정의 상황과 자녀의 특성에 맞는 생애 진로 교육 실시가 필요함을 제시 할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Korean society becomes multi-cultural society rapidly, so the number of multi-cultural families and their children are rapidly increased. However, interests in children of multi-cultural families have been biased by only their adaptation and problems and there was very insufficient discussion about career education of them who should be a new subject of multi-cultural society. Therefore, this researcher intended to actualities and difficulties of children s career education in multi-cultural families through the qualitatively case study of 5 marriage migrant women. Results of this research are as follows. First, participants had high expectation and ideal occupational view for children s career and showed an attitude to assign studying and career decision to their children. Second, they practiced career education through the utilization of regional various education resources and active participation and interests in children s school events. Third, they had conflicts caused by differences of value and culture, their incompetence, insufficient information of career, etc. for their children s career education. Through the results, this research should suggest that it s necessary to prepare social conditions marriage migrant women can participate in their children s career education more actively and be grown with them, provide parents education which can eliminate cultural differences and provide concrete information of career and carry out career education suitable for situation of multi-cultural family and children s characteristics from the early stage of school age.
