초등학교 교사의 저학년 안전교육에 대한 인식

국문 초록

이 연구는 저학년 안전교육에 대한 교사들의 인식 및 요구 조사· 분석을 목적으 로 초등학교 교사 340명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 분석하였으며, 연구의 결 과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 저학년 학생대상 안전교육의 필요성 대한 교사의 인식이 대체로 높았고, 저학년 안전교육의 목적으로 평소 안전 생활 습관의 형성을 중요하 게 여기는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 저학년 안전교육의 주요 실행자로서 담임 교사가 적합하다고 인식하였으며 연간 시수로 연 34시간 이하가 적절하다고 생각하는 것으 로 나타났다. 실시 영역으로 창의적체험활동 영역이 적합하다고 응답하였다. 셋째, 안전교육 7대 영역 표준안 중 생활안전, 교통안전, 폭력 및 신변안전, 재난안전이 저 학년 안전교육과 관련이 높다고 인식하였으며, 그 외 응급처치, 약물·인터넷 중독, 직업안전을 다른 영역보다 저학년과의 관련성을 낮게 인식하고 있었다. 넷째, 저학 년 안전교육의 방법으로서 체험 중심 안전 교육과 수행중심 관찰 평가가 적합하다 고 응답하였고, 저학년 안전교육의 지원체제에 있어 체계적인 교육 지표 및 안전교 육 프로그램을 가장 시급히 요구하고 있었다. 향후 연구에서는 저학년 안전교육에 대한 교사의 요구도 분석 결과를 기초로 안전교육 7대 영역 표준안에 따른 저학년 안전교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용 연구가 이루어질 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study was analyzed and surveyed on 340 elementary school teachers, and was aimed at analyzing and investigating the awareness and needs of teachers in the safety education for early grade-schoolers. The results of the study are as follows. First, it shows a strong agreement of teachers on the needs of the safety education in the lower grades in elementary school. It also shows that teachers most importantly regard the formation of the usual safety habits as the purpose of the safety education. Second, teachers responded that they are well-qualified as the main executor of safety education. They answered to the adequate lesson hours of safety education per year as follows: less than 34 hours per year. Also, they responded to the methods to activate safety education: creative experience activities. Third, the result shows that traffic safety, violence and personal safety, and disaster safety education among the seven categories in accordance with standard plan of safety education, are highly related to the safety edcation for early grade-schoolers. Outside of that, it shows first aid, drugs, internet addiction and the occupational safety are less related for early grade-schoolers relatively. Fourth, teachers responded to the method of evaluation for the safety education as follows: experience oriented method, and performance evaluation through class observation. It is most urgently needed for the lower graders to support the systematic safety education program. Follow-up research is expected to develop the safety education program for early grade-schoolers and to apply it to them according to the seven categories in accordance with a standard plan of safety education based on the analysis of safety education requirements for lower graders.
