유아 부모를 위한 미학교육 인식 및 요구

국문 초록

본 연구는 부모가 이성과 감성이 조화를 이룬 미적인간으로 성장함으로써 자신과 가정, 사회를 바르게 인식하고 변화된 삶을 살아갈 수 있는 내적 힘을 기르도록 하 는 것을 목표로 하는 부모미학교육을 개발하기 위하여 부모의 인식과 요구를 살펴 보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 부산시와 울산시에 소재한 공립 및 사립 유 치원 12곳에 재원중인 만 3, 4, 5세 유아들의 부모 385명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실 시하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 첫째, 부모들은 부모미학교육에 대해서는 잘 모르고 있으나, 그것의 개발이 필요하다고 보았으며, 개발의 목적은 이성과 감성의 균형을 갖춘 인간을 기르는 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 또한 부모들은 부모미학교육을 통해 자녀를 잘 기를 수 있는 방법을 배우고, 자신이 성장할 수 있는 계기가 될 것이라는 기대를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모들은 부모미학교육의 내용으로 예 술과 인성교육을 꼽았으며, 교육방법으로는 실습과 체험활동을 가장 선호하였고, 연 수 시간은 평일 오전, 2～4회기, 1회기당 1～2시간의 교육을 요구하였다. 이와 같은 부모들의 인식과 요구를 바탕으로 부모미학교육의 목적과 내용, 방법이 개발되어야 할 방향에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate the awareness and needs of parents who have children at early age about to aesthetics-education programs for themselves. Aesthetic education in this study is seemed to to bolster one’s inner strength to lead a changed life that comes from a proper understanding of his/her self. family, and society by developing into a aesthetically balanced being in terms of reason and emotions This study surveyed about 385 parents who have young children, with questions about hos they perceive aesthetics education, the reason they need the program, and their needs of the aesthetic education program. The results of the study showed that the parents’ awareness of parent-aesthetics-education remains at low level, but that they have stronger needs for developing the aesthetic program for themselves.. They also seemed to believe hat the aim of aesthetic education programs should be to raise a human being with a balance between reason and emotions. Further, it turned out to have such expectations that through the program they would be able to learn to have positive experiences in bringing up their children, and that they themselves would grow as human beings. Regarding the contents of the program, the parents pointed to arts and humanism as contents of parent-aesthetics-education. As for the methods, they seemed to prefer practice and field-trip to other types of activities. Typically they seemed to prefer 1-2 hours of training sessions repeating for two to four times, done during weekday mornings. Finally this study discussed that the parents’ awareness and needs mentioned above give us educational implications that how to develop the objectives, contents, and methods concerning parent-aesthetics-education, with a possibility that aesthetic education program would play a role for educating appropriate parents roles to raise their children.
