자연친화 감각활동 프로그램이 유아의 친사회성 및 사회․정서발달에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 자연친화 감각활동 프로그램이 유아의 친사회성과 사회ㆍ정서발달에 효과를 미치는지 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 프로그램 개발을 위해 1단계 선행연구 및 문헌고찰이 이루어졌고 전문가와 심층논의를 거쳐 수정보완하고 2단계 내용적합성을 거쳐 프로그램을 개발하였다. 서울시 K구에 위치한 유치원 만3세 유아 80명(실험집단 40명, 통제집단 40명)을 대상으로 김영옥(2003)이 제작한 유아의 친사회성행동 평가척도(PBSYC)와 한국행동과학연구소(1978)에서 제작한 사회ㆍ정서발달척도를 이경희(2008)가 재수정한 검사도구로 실험ㆍ통제집단 사전-사후 검사 설계로 자연친화적 감각활동 프로그램의 효과를 검증하였다. SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 사용한 공분산분석 결과 첫째, 자연친화 감각활동 프로그램은 친사회성 전체와 하위영역인 의 사소통과 감정이입 및 조절영역을 제외한 도움주기, 주도적 배려, 접근 시도하기, 나누기 등의 하위영역에서 유의미한 효과가 나타났다. 둘째, 자연친화 감각활동 프로그램은 사회ㆍ정서발달 전체와 하위영역인 교사에의 비 의존감, 내적통제, 다른 유 아에 대한 내적 통제력, 안정감, 성취동기, 호기심 모두에서 유의미한 효과가 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 자연친화 감각활동 프로그램이 유아의 친사회성과 사회․정서발달에 긍정적인 영향력을 미침을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the nature-friendly sensory activity program on child s pro-sociality and social and emotional development. Participants consisted of 80 kindergarten children from two kindergarten in Seoul. The experimental group(n=40) participated in the nature-friendly sensory activity program, and the comparative group(n=40) did not. Over a 10-week period, the program was implemented 20 times. The data were analyzed using an ANCOVA. Results indicate that the nature-friendly sensory activity program had a positive effect on the child s sociality and social and emotional development perceived by the teachers. Specifically, in the prosociality, the experimental group showed a significantly higher level of helping, initiative consideration, approaching, and sharing than the comparative group, but there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in communication, empathy and control. In social and emotional development, it showed positive effect on the independence of teachers, internal control, internal control of other children, stability, achievement motivation, and curiosity. The results of this study suggest that the nature-friendly sensory activity program has a positive influence on the pro-sociality and social and emotional development of children.
