「紀異」, 「感通」의 서사와 향가의 작품세계

국문 초록

  그간의 『삼국유사』 의 텍스트 해석 방식은 신화(mythology)와 주술적 표상들의 알레고리화의 시도였다. 그 결과 신화와 주술적 표상들은 대부분 이 알레고리적 해석을 통해 제거되어 버렸다. 또한 그것들은 부차적이고 별로 중요하지 않은 것으로 간주되거나 극히 비본질적인것으로 치부되어 제거당하기도 하였다. 그 결과 신화와 주술적 표상들은 우리에게 이해되지 않은 채 여전히 알 수 없는 것으로 남아있거나 해석에서 제거되어 버렸다.
  『삼국유사』 「기이」에는 幽冥의 문제를 다루고 있는 많은 이야기가 있다. 그 이야기들은 귀신ㆍ요괴ㆍ신선이 정말로 세계 저편 어딘가에 존재하는 실체인지 아닌지, 또는 이승과 저승의 경계는 가시적으로 드러나는 그 무엇인지 아닌지의 문제를 다루고 있다. 〈헌화가〉, 〈처용가〉는 유명의 입을 통해 노래하게 하는 서사적 방법을 통해 유명세계에 대한 어떤 특수한 이해와 해석을 드러내고 있다. 한편, 〈안민가〉,〈모죽지랑가〉, 〈찬기파랑가〉는 신에 대한 특수한 인식과 해석의 소산으로서, 인간과 협력 관계로 존재하는, 사랑과 자비를 수행하는 힘으로서 우리 안에 살고 있는, 우리와 동일시될 수 있는 그런 존재로서의 신을 노래하고 있다.
  한편, 『삼국유사』 「감통」은 魏晉時代로부터 발달한 志怪의 한 갈래인 天人感應類 敍事의 연장선상에서 발달한 이야기들이다. 〈광덕ㆍ엄장〉은 인간의 구원을 전통적인 감통의 논리로 이해하면서도 한편 다름 아닌 인간의 자연스런 일상에 구원이 있다는 인식을 보여주기도 한다. 그리고 〈혜성가〉는, 기적과 신비는 다름 아닌 우리 마음의 신묘한 변화라는 인식의 시적 표현이다. 한편, 〈제망매가〉의 화자는 누이의 죽음 앞에서 인간의 슬픈 운명을 멸할 영원히 버그러짐이 없는 길을 닦겠다고 결의한다. 그리고 그 결의는 천지신명의 초월적인 감응을 불러일으킨다. 그것은 신의 운명을 걸머지고 가는 인간의 이야기로서, 다른 사람의 고통을 자기 것으로 감수하는 인간들의 실존적 경험의 서사적ㆍ시적 표현이다.

영문 초록

  Interpretations of Samgukyusa have been allegorization of myths and magical symbols so far. Most of myths and magical symbols were removed through allegorization. In addition, these have been ignored or removed by being considered nonessential. As a result, myths and magical symbols remain what are not still understood or are removed from interpretation.
  There are many stories dealing with Yumyeong(the other world) in 「Gii」 of Samgukyusa. These contain that if ghosts and specters are entities existing somewhere beyond the world, or if the boundary between the world and the other world is presented visually. 〈Heonhwaga〉 and 〈Cheoyongga〉 reveal unique understanding and interpretation of Yumyeong world through narrative method. On the other hand, 〈Anminga〉, 〈Mojunjirangga〉 and 〈Changiparangga〉, outcomes of unique recognition and interpretation of god, are describing god as an existence that has cooperative relationship with human being, is power implementing love and charity, can be identified with us and is living inside us.
  On the other hand, stories in 「Gamtong」 of Samgukyusa developed from Cheoningameung(heaven and man are the same) narrations which is a branch of mysterious novels in the Wui and Jin eras. 〈Gwangdeok-Eomjang〉 presents a recognition that there is salvation in man"s natural life while understanding man"s salvation through traditional Gamtong theory. That is Gamtong is reinterpreted as a problem of human existence. Also 〈Hyeseongga〉 is a poetic form of recognition and realization that miracle and mysteriousness are marvelous change of our mind. And a speaker in 〈Jemangmaega〉 decides to create an everlasting straightforward way that can destroy man"s sad destiny in front of his sister"s death. And the resolution provokes transcendent response from the gods of heaven and earth. As a story of a man who shoulders god"s destiny, that is a narrative and poetic expression of existential experiences of men who accept others" pains as theirs.
