초등학생의 대인관계와 불안이 외톨이의 심리적 특성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등학생의 대인관계와 불안이 외톨이의 심리적 특성에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 구체적으로는 대인관계와 불안이 외톨이의 심리적 특성 하위 요인들에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보고 대인관계와 불안의 하위요인이 외톨이의 심리적 특성에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 알아보았다. 이를 위해 초등학생 5학년을 대상으로 외톨이, 대인관계, 불안과 관련된 검사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과를 보면, 대인관계와 불안은 모두 외톨이의 심리적 특성에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 대인관계가 긍정적일수록 외톨이의 심리적 특성이 감소하는 경향이 있었으며, 특히 친구 관계가 외톨이 심리적 특성 감소에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인으로 분석되었다. 반면, 불안 수준이 높을수록 외톨이의 심리적 특성이 증가하는 경향이 있었으며, 그중에서도 학교 불안과 자기 불안이 주요한 위험 요인으로 확인되었다. 또한, 대인관계와 불안은 외톨이 심리적 특성의 하위 요인 중 소외감과 외로움에 가장 많이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 학교생활적응에 교사의 격려는 매우 많이 영향을 지치지만 부모의 격려는 유의미하지 않았다. 이상과 같은 연구 결과는 학교 현장에서 외톨이 학생을 위한 사회적 기술 향상 프로그램과 정서적 지원 시스템 구축의 필요성을 강조한다. 또한, 초등학생들이 불안을 조절하고 건강한 대인관계를 형성할 수 있도록 상담 프로그램을 개발·보급하는 한편, 교사 및 학부모 교육을 강화하는 등의 노력이 요구됨을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to analyze the effects of interpersonal relationships and anxiety on the psychological characteristics of socially isolated elementary school students. Additionally, it sought to explore how interpersonal relationships and anxiety influence the sub-factors of these psychological characteristics. To achieve this, assessments related to social withdrawal, interpersonal relationships, and anxiety were administered to elementary school students, and multiple regression analysis was conducted on the collected data. The results indicated that both interpersonal relationships and anxiety significantly affect the psychological characteristics of socially withdrawn students. More positive interpersonal relationships were associated with a decrease in social withdrawal tendencies, with peer relationships identified as the most influential factor in reducing social withdrawal. Conversely, higher levels of anxiety were linked to an increase in social withdrawal tendencies, with school-related anxiety and self-anxiety emerging as key risk factors. Furthermore, among the sub-factors of social withdrawal, feelings of isolation and loneliness showed the highest correlation with interpersonal relationships and anxiety. However, parental relationships did not have a significant impact on social withdrawal, suggesting that peer relationships play a more crucial role during the elementary school years. The findings of this study highlight the need for social skills enhancement programs and emotional support systems for socially withdrawn students in school settings. Additionally, they underscore the importance of developing to help elementary school students manage anxiety and build healthy interpersonal relationships. Efforts such as teacher and parent education should also be implemented to support these initiatives.
