국문 초록

본 연구는 조절된 난화기에서의 미술 표현을 칸트(Kant)의 재생적 상상력 이론으로 분석하여, 조절된 난화기의 미술 표현이 어떻게 상상력과 관련되는지를 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 칸트는 재생적 상상력을 ‘세 겹의 종합’으로 분석하고 있는데, 그것은 직관에서 포착의 종합, 상상력에서 재생의 종합, 개념에서 재인식의 종합을 말한다. 재생적 상상력의 세 겹의 종합을 분석 도구로 삼아, 로웬펠드(Lowenfeld)의 어린이 미술 표현 발달 단계 중 조절된 난화기의 미술 표현을 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째로 조절된 난화기의 직관에서 포착의 종합은 ‘잡다들’ 중 시지각을 중심으로 제한적으로 포착된 이미지들의 배치이다. 이 직관은 상황에 따라 특정하게 포착된 시각 움직임들과 서로 다른 힘과 속도의 분포들의 종합을 함유하는 것으로 나타난다. 둘째로 상상력에서 재생의 종합은 현존하지 않는 과거/미래 움직임의 시각적 포착들의 ‘앎’과 ‘앓음(아픔)’을 종합하여 전(全) 계열로서 마음속에 그려지도록 한다. 셋째로 개념에서 재인식의 종합은 현재의 선의 움직임과 과거/미래의 선의 움직임의 ‘앎’과 ‘앓음’을 종합하고, 어린이가 그러한 종합 속에 집중하게 하여, 그 결과에서 ‘아름다움’을 느끼게 한다. 재생적 상상력 이론을 적용한 분석은 조절된 난화기 어린이의 상상력이 어떤 기능에서 이루어지고 어떤 과정을 거쳐 발휘되는지를 효과적으로 설명하는데 의의가 있다. 나아가 본 연구는 미술표현에서 재생적 상상력 이론 이외의 다른 상상력 이론의 적용을 위한 토대를 제공해 주고, 미술표현에서 상상력의 발달 단계에 대한 청사진을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore how the artistic expression in the controlled scribbling stage is related to imagination, by analyzing the artistic expression in the controlled scribbling stage with Kant s reproductive imagination theory. Kant is analyzing the reproductive imagination with ‘threefold synthesis.’ It implies the synthesis of apprehension in intuition, the synthesis of reproduction in imagination, and the synthesis of recognition in a concept. The synthesis of apprehension in intuition implies to combine it with one united image by apprehending images, which were separated from the single time. The synthesis of reproduction in imagination implies to perform the synthesis of the reproduced things by regenerating those that don t exist. The synthesis of recognition in a concept implies to combine by recognizing the apprehensive things and the reproduced things, in order to have real and significant experience and language on what the experience is that we have. The artistic expression in the controlled scribbling stage was analyzed out of Lowenfeld s developmental stage in child art expression, by having the analytical tool as threefold synthesis in reproductive imagination. The analytical results are as follows. Firstly, the synthesis of apprehension in intuition for the controlled scribbling stage allows the whole combined picture to be varied qualitatively according to specific uniqueness of the linear points, which were captured in the external space. Secondly, the synthesis of reproduction in imagination makes it drawn in the mind as the whole series by combining ‘knowledge’ and ‘pain’ in visual captures of the past/future movements, which don t exist. Third, the synthesis of recognition in a concept allows ‘beauty’ to be felt in its result by combining ‘knowledge’ and ‘pain’ in the current linear movement and the past/future linear movements and by making a child concentrate on such synthesis. The analysis, which applied the theory of reproductive imagination, has significance in effectively explaining in which function the child s imagination in the controlled scribbling stage is formed and displayed by passing through which process. Furthermore, this study will be capable of offering the foundation for applying other imagination theory in addition to the reproductive imagination theory in the artistic expression and of providing blueprint on the developmental stage of imagination in the artistic expression.
