다문화가정 자녀의 이중언어 관련 연구 동향 분석*

국문 초록

본 연구는 다문화가정 자녀의 이중언어를 주제로 한 국내 학술지 및 학위논문을 분석․고찰함으로써 현재까지의 선행연구들의 경향을 살펴보고 그 결과를 바탕으로 향후 연구의 방향성을 제시하고자 한 다. 이를 위해 2006년부터 2017년 10월까지 발표된 국내 학술지 및 학위논문 중 ‘다문화가정 영유아 및 아동의 이중언어 사용, 경험 또는 이중언어 교육을 주제로 한 논문 총 89편을 선정하였다. 수집된 국내 학술지 및 학위논문의 연도별, 연구주제와 연구방법에 따른 연구 동향을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2012년부터 최근까지 이중언어 관련 논문 수가 급격히 증가하고 있는 추세임을 알 수 있 었다. 이는 2012년「다문화 학생 교육 선진화 방안」이 발표되고 이중언어 교육 강화를 추진과제로 설 정하면서 다문화가정 자녀의 이중언어에 대한 관심이 확대되고 이와 관련한 연구가 크게 증가하는 것 으로 보여 진다. 둘째, 연구주제는 이중언어 관련 이론 및 정책 방안 모색 연구가 가장 많았으며, 다 문화가정 자녀의 이중언어 실태 조사, 인식 및 태도 등의 순으로 연구가 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있 었다. 셋째, 연구대상은 다문화가정 자녀를 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많고 그 다음으로는 부모대상 연 구가 많았으며, 특히 결혼이민자인 어머니를 대상으로 한 연구가 많이 수행되었음을 알 수 있었다. 넷 째, 연구유형을 분석한 결과 질적 연구 방법을 가장 많이 사용하였으며, 면담을 통해 자료를 수집한 연구가 가장 많음을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 자료 분석 방법으로는 질적 분석을 가장 많이 사용하는 것으 로 나타났다

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the future direction of research on bilingual children from multicultural families. This study looked at 89 published domestic academic journals and thesis papers from 2006 to October 2017. The analyzed research topics included infant and child bilingual language usage, experience and bilingual education. These conclusions then became the foundation to predict the future direction of research, regarding bilingual children from multicultural families. First, the result of the annual research distribution analysis showed a sharp increasing trend in bilingual research from 2012 to present. In 2012, the government started a policy to strengthen bilingual education. As a result, interest and research in bilingual education of multicultural families increased from 2012. Secondly, the analysis of research themes showed that bilingual related theories and research to create new government policies had the highest percentage. Following this, the two most popular themes were the current situation of multicultural families and the relationship between bilingualism and development. Third, the analysis of research subjects showed that children and infants were the most popular research subjects. After children and infants, adults were the most popular research subjects. If we separate adults into mothers and fathers, father based papers were especially insufficient as there were only 3. Fourth, analysis of research types showed that qualitative research, collected through interviews, was the most popular. Following this, quantitative method was the most popular and within quantitative papers, difference analysis was the most popular.
