유아의 또래 놀이행동에 영향을 미치는 교사와 부모의 놀이성

국문 초록

본 연구는 교사와 부모의 놀이성이 유아의 또래 놀이행동과 관련이 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 경기도에 거주하는 만 3-5세 유아의 교사 83명, 유아-부모(아버지, 어머니) 약 450여 쌍을 대 상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 21을 활용하여, 기술통계, Cronbach’s a, 상관분석, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과의 주요점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아의 또래 놀이행동에 미치 는 놀이성의 영향은 교사의 놀이성이 부모의 놀이성보다 더 큰 예측변인인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 놀 이성 요인 중 교사의 재미탐닉, 비억제적 놀이성향과 어머니의 재미탐닉은 유아의 또래 놀이행동이 긍정적이 되도록 돕는다는 것을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 놀이성 요인 중 부모와 교사의 즉흥성은 유아의 또 래 놀이행동에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 유아의 놀이를 지도하고 개입 하는 성인의 놀이성향이 재미를 추구하고자 하는 내적동기가 높고, 자유로운 성향이면 유아의 또래 놀이행동이 긍정적이 되도록 돕는다. 반면 계획적이지 않고 비일관적인 성인의 반응이나 지도는 유아 의 또래 놀이행동에 부정적으로 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 기초로 교사와 부모의 유아 놀이지도 및 놀이 양육행동에 주는 교육적 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether playfulness of teachers and parents is related to children’s peer play behavior. The subjects were 83 teachers and about 450 pairs of child-parents (father and mother) of 3-5 year-old children in Gyeonggi-area. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21, descriptive statistics, cronbach’s a, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The main points of the study are as follows. First, the teacher’s playfulness was found to be more influential as a predictor variable for children’s peer play behavior, than parental playfulness. Second, it can be seen that the teacher’s fun-seeking motivation, uninhibitedness play trait, and mother’s fun-seeking motivation exert a positive influence to the children’s peer play behavior. Third, factors of spontaneity in playfulness have negative effects on children’s peer play behavior. The results of this study suggest that adults’ play trait to guide and intervene in the play of child helps child’s peer play behavior to be positive when the adults’ intrinsic motivation to pursue the fun, and to play with a liberated tendency, are high. On the other hand, it was found that non-intentional and inconsistent adult reponses or guidance negatively affect children’s peer play behavior. These findings provide educational implications for teacher’s play instruction and parenting behaviors.
