국문 초록

본 연구는 인도네시아어에 유입된 중국어 차용어를 대상으로 의미 변화와 문화적 적응 과정을 분석하였다. 차용어의 의미 변화를 축소, 확장, 전환, 함의 변화의 네 가지 유형으로 분류하여 체계적으로 고찰하였다. 분석 결과, 중국어 차용어는 인도네시아어 환경에서 원래의 의미를 유지하거나 변형되며 새로운 사회적, 문화적 맥락에 적응한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 변화는 단어의 의미와 기능이 지역적 요구와 문화적 특수성에 따라 재구성되었음을 보여준다. 차용어의 변화는 단순히 어휘적 차원을 넘어, 차용어가 속한 사회적 환경에서 새로운 문화적 정체성과 상징적 의미를 형성하는 과정을 반영한다. 이는 차용어가 두 언어 및 문화 간 상호작용의 증거로 작용하며, 사회적 통합과 문화적 혼합의 맥락에서 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있음을 보여준다. 본 연구는 중국어 차용어가 인도네시아어 어휘 체계에서 차지하는 역할과 두 언어 간 교류의 중요성을 조명하며, 향후 차용어 연구 및 언어적 교류의 맥락에서 중요한 통찰을 제공한다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes the semantic changes and cultural adaptation processes of Chinese loanwords integrated into the Indonesian language. The semantic changes of loanwords were systematically categorized into four types: reduction, extension, shift, and implication change. The analysis reveals that Chinese loanwords in the Indonesian context either retain their original meanings or undergo transformations to adapt to new social and cultural settings. These changes demonstrate how the meanings and functions of words are reconstructed according to regional needs and cultural specificities.The transformation of loanwords extends beyond the lexical level, reflecting the process of forming new cultural identities and symbolic meanings within the social context of the borrowing language. This highlights how loanwords act as evidence of interaction between two languages and cultures, playing a vital role in the dynamics of social integration and cultural blending.This study sheds light on the role of Chinese loanwords in the Indonesian lexicon and emphasizes the significance of exchanges between the two languages. It provides valuable insights for future research on loanwords and linguistic interactions within broader cultural exchange contexts.
