경계선 지능인의 평생교육을 위한 탐색적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 경계선 지능인 평생교육의 실행을 위한 시사점을 탐색하는 데 목적을 두었다. 국내외 학술논문, 조사보고서 등 문헌 연구를 통해 평생교육의 개념과 현황을 분석하고, 경계선 지능인의 평생교육의 실행을 위해 고려되어야 할 주요 요인을 탐색하였다. 분석 결과 경계선 지능인은 나이가 들수록 언어추론 능력이 감소하고, 어휘와 사고를 언어로 표현하는 것이 지체된다. 이러한 인지적 한계를 극복하기 위해 평생교육은 추론능력과 언어능력을 자극하여 인지기능을 훈련할 필요가 있다. 경계선 지능인의 평생교육은 경계선 지능인의 이해와 학습속도에 맞추어 학습 진도와 프로그램 목표가 설정되어야 한다. 또한 인지능력의 지체를 예방하기 위해 인지기능을 자극하는 프로그램이 필요하다. 후속 연구로 경계선 지능인의 인지 자극 프로그램 제작과 이를 수행한 결과를 통한 인지기능 지속력에 대한 연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore implications for implementing lifelong education for individuals with borderline intelligence. Through a literature review of domestic and international academic papers and research reports, the study analyzes the concept and current status of lifelong education and identifies key factors to be considered for its implementation for individuals with borderline intelligence. The analysis reveals that as individuals with borderline intelligence age, their verbal reasoning abilities decline, and they experience delays in expressing vocabulary and thoughts through language. To overcome these cognitive limitations, lifelong education should stimulate reasoning and language abilities to train cognitive functions. Lifelong education programs for individuals with borderline intelligence should align with their understanding and learning pace, setting appropriate learning progressions and program objectives. Additionally, programs that stimulate cognitive functions are essential. Future research should focus on developing cognitive stimulation programs tailored for individuals with borderline intelligence and evaluating the sustainability of cognitive functions through these programs.
