국문 초록

본 연구는 고등학교 3학년 학생을 대상으로 부모 애착과 부모 감독이 자아개념에 미치는 영향을 탐색하고, 이 과정에서 공부 압박과 진로 성숙도의 매개 역할을 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국청소년패널조사(KYPS) 데이터를 활용하고, 구조방정식 모델(SEM)과 다중회귀분석을 적용하여 변수 간 관계를 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 부모 애착과 부모 감독은 자아개념에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 두 변인 중 부모 애착의 영향이 더 높게 나타났다. 또한 부모 애착은 진로 성숙도를 높이는 중요한 요인으로 작용하였으며, 이를 통한 간접효과 역시 유의미하였다. 반면, 부모 감독은 공부 압박을 증가시키는 경향이 있으며, 자아개념에 대한 직접적인 영향력은 부모 애착보다 낮았다. 진로 성숙도는 자아개념 형성에서 핵심적인 매개변수로 작용하였으나, 공부 압박의 매개효과는 상대적으로 미미한 수준이었다. 또한 부모 애착과 부모 감독 간의 상호작용이 자아개념에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 부모 감독 수준이 높을수록 부모 애착의 긍정적 효과가 약화됨을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 청소년의 자아개념 형성 과정에서 부모의 정서적 지지와 행동적 조율이 중요한 역할을 하며, 균형 잡힌 양육 방식의 필요성을 시사한다. 본 연구는 이를 바탕으로 정서적 지원과 행동 조율을 병행할 수 있는 부모 교육 및 상담 프로그램의 개발이 필요함을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the impact of parental attachment and parental monitoring on self-concept among high school seniors and to identify the mediating roles of academic pressure and career maturity in this process. Utilizing data from the Korean Youth Panel Survey (KYPS), the study employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and multiple regression analysis to validate the relationships among variables. The findings indicate that both parental attachment and parental monitoring exert significant positive effects on self-concept, with parental attachment demonstrating a stronger influence. Parental attachment was found to be a key factor in enhancing career maturity, and its indirect effect on self-concept was also significant. In contrast, parental monitoring was associated with increased academic pressure and exhibited a weaker direct influence on self-concept compared to parental attachment. While career maturity emerged as a crucial mediator in self-concept formation, the mediating effect of academic pressure was relatively minor. Furthermore, the interaction between parental attachment and parental monitoring negatively impacted self-concept, indicating that higher levels of parental monitoring weakened the positive effect of parental attachment. These results highlight the critical role of parental emotional support and behavioral guidance in shaping adolescents' self-concept and underscore the necessity of balanced parenting approaches. The study further suggests implications for the development of parent education and counseling programs.
