전문상담교사가 인식한 비자살적 자해 청소년 상담의 어려움에 관한 개념도 연구

국문 초록

연구목적 본 연구는 전문상담교사가 비자살적 자해 청소년 상담에서 어떤 어려움을 경험하는지 그들의 인식의 구체적인 내용을 밝히고 인식 이면에 있는 잠재적 구조와 차원을 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법 중·고등학교 Wee 클래스에서 근무하는 전문상담교사 9명을 연구대상으로 하여 면담을 수행하고, 개념도 연구 절차에 따라 그들이 비자살적 자해 청소년 상담에서 경험하는 어려움의 내용과 차원, 군집, 중요도를 도출하고 해석하였다. 연구결과 면담 내용을 분석한 결과, 43개의 최종 진술문을 도출하였으며, 유사성 분류 자료를 바탕으로 다차원 척도 분석 및 위계적 군집 분석을 실시하여 2개의 차원과 7개의 군집으로 구성된 개념도를 작성하였다. 차원은 ‘지원 및 협력체계 요인-상담과정 요인’ 과 ‘학교 환경적 요인-상담자 요인’으로, 7개 군집은 ‘부족한 지원 아래 과중한 책임’, ‘예민한 파악 및 대비에 대한 부담’, ‘내담자 보호자원 구축의 어려움’, ‘진단·개입에 관한 전문성의 한계’, ‘학교 내 지원 부족 및 협력 구축의 어려움’, ‘상담자의 역전이 및 내적갈등’, ‘교육자-상담자로서의 역할 및 성장에 대한 갈등’으로 드러났다. 중요도 평정에서 최종진술문의 내용별 중요도 평균은 4.01점으로 ‘중요함’ 이상이었고, 가장 중요한 진술문은 ‘학생·학부모가 병원·전문기관 연계치료를 거부함’으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구는 비자살적 자해 청소년 상담에서 전문상담교사가 경험하는 어려움의 내용을 구체적으로 요약하고 개념도 연구방법을 통하여 그 잠재적인 개념의 구조를 시각화하여 제시하였다는 점에 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 연구의 제한점과 후속연구에 대한 제안을 기술하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the constructs and dimensions of professional school counselors’ perceptions regarding the difficulties in counseling with non-suicidal self-harm adolescents using a concept mapping method. Methods: Interviews were conducted with 9 professional school counselors working in middle and high school Wee classes. Content, dimensions, categories, and importance of difficulties experienced by professional school counselors were derived using Concept Mapping method. Results: As a result of the study, 43 final statements were produced. Multidimensional scale analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis on a similarity matrix indicated 2 dimensions and 7 clusters on a concept map. The dimensions were 'Support and collaboration system factor - counseling process factor' and 'School environment factor - counselor factor'. The clusters were 'Feeling overly responsible and lack of support', 'Burden of suicide evaluation and prevention', ‘Difficulties in developing protective resources of clients’, ‘Limits of expertise in diagnosis and intervention’, ‘Lack of support in schools and challenges of collaboration’, ‘Countertransference and inner conflicts’, and ‘role conflicts and struggle for growth as an educator and a counselor.’ The average importance of the final statements was 4.01, including the most important statement ‘Referral to hospitals or professional agency is often declined by students and parents.’ Conclusion: Implications and limitations f the study were discussed. Finally, suggestions for future study were proposed.
