진로정체성이 교과 학습 과정 및 결과에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적: 진로정체성과 동기적 신념인 과제가치, 그리고 국어 교과에 대한 참여와 학업성취의 관계를 확인하고자 한다. 방법: 경북 지역의 2개 고등학교 1학년 학생 287명을 대상으로 진로정체성, 국어교과에 대한 과제가치, 참여 및 학업성취를 조사하였다. 먼저 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 후 변인들 간의 구조적 관계를 확인하기 위해 구조방정식 분석을 실시하였다. 마지막으로 진로정체성과 참여 및 학업성취 사이를 매개하는 변인의 유의성을 검증하였다. 결과: 첫째, 진로정체성은 국어 교과 참여를 정적으로 예측하였다. 둘째, 진로정체성은 내재가치와 외재가치를 정적으로 예측하였고, 과제비용을 부적으로 예측하였다. 매개효과 분석에서 진로정체성은 내재가치와 외재가치를 통해 참여를 예측하였고, 외재가치와 과제비용을 통해서 학업성취를 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 또 과제가치의 하위 요인들은 참여와 학업성취를 예측하는 데 있어 차별적 예측력을 보였다. 결론: 진로정체성이 국어 과제가치에 미치는 긍정적 영향을 고려하여 국어교육의 교수학습을 설계할 수 있도록 해야 한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The present study examined the role of students’ vocational identity in predicting their motivation and academic outcomes. Methods: In order to accomplish this research purpose, the following research questions are constructed vocational identity, task value, cost, Korean learning engagement, Korean achievement. Questionnaires and surveys were conducted from 287 students in 10th grade of highs school. The SPSS and AMOS statistics was used for data analysis. Results: The results of structural equation modeling found that vocational identity positively predicted students’ intrinsic and extrinsic values and negatively predicted cost. Vocational identity emerged as a positive predictor of engagement. Furthermore, students’ perceived value of literacy learning in their Korean class played a critical role in mediating the rela- tionship between identity and outcomes. Findings from current studies demonstrate the importance of vocational identity development in students’ learning motivation and outcomes. To foster development in value perception and academic performance, identity interventions or career counselling services are considered necessary in the school context. Conclusion: This study makes a contribution by demonstrating that students’ motivational beliefs mediate the relationships between vocational identity and positive learning outcomes.
