종군 시문학의 (불)가능성

국문 초록

이 글은 한국전쟁기 국방부 정훈국 소속 작가들의 시 텍스트가 종군(從軍) 미디어를 거쳐 이후 개인 시집에 재수록 및 개작되는 과정을 해명한다. 이를 토대로 종군의 자기 서사(self-narrative)가 현대 시문학사의 형성에 끼친 영향을 실증적으로 검토했다. 즉, 시인들의 종군활동이 전후 시문학사와 단절되는 것이 아니라 오히려 현대시의 규범, 범주, 내러티브가 본격적으로 확립되는 데 하나의 유력한 기원으로 작용했음을 입증하고자 했다. 정훈국 기관지에 발표된 문학을 전후 시집에 미수록, 재수록하며 만들어낸 문학사적 내러티브는 70년대 이후 본격화된 시문학사 서술에 적지 않은 영향력을 행사한다. 김종문이 재수록된 시가 없는 것에 비해 양명문은 1955년에 펴낸 시집 『화성인』에 종군매체의 시 3편을 재수록한다. 더욱이 양명문의 재수록 시는 독특한 개작과정이 있었는데 양명문 특유의 고향의 심미적 심상이 선전시의 효용성 속에서 고착화된 측면이 고려하지 않을 수 없다. 양명문의 사례는 종군(또는 정훈)이 월남문학을 가능케 한 하나의 기원으로 재맥락화된 선례로서 주목된다. 종군의 자기 서사를 현대 시문학사 형성의 중요한 계기로 삼아 김종문은 모더니즘 문학을 옹호하는 방식으로 군인 시인으로서 모호했던 정훈이라는 이념체계를 탈맥락화하고 양명문은 월남민의 정체성을 전유하기 위해 선택적으로 고향의 노스탤지어의 심미성을 강화했다.

영문 초록

This article explains the process in which the text of poems by writers from the Ministry of National Defense’s Troop Infomation and Education during the Korean War is later measured and adapted into private poetry books through military media. Based on this, the influence of self-narrative on the formation of contemporary poetic history was examined empirically. In other words, the poet’s military activities were not cut off from the post-war history of poetry, but rather served as a strong source of establishing the norms, categories, and narratives of modern poetry in earnest. Literature history narratives, which were created by writing and rewriting literature published in the Troop Infomation and Education’s organization, exerts considerable influence on poetic history narratives that have begun in earnest since the 1970s. While Kim Jong-moon does not have any poems, Yang Myung-moon rewrites three poems from the military media in his 1955 collection of poems, Hwasin. Moreover, the more Yang Myung-moon was measured, the more unique the process of revising the city, and the aesthetic image of Yang Myung-moon’s hometown is fixed in the utility of propaganda poetry. The case of Yang Myung-moon is notable as a precedent that was re-contextured to the origin of Writer who defected to South Korea. Kim Jong-moon decontextured the ideological system of Troop Infomation and Education, which was ambiguous as a military poet, by advocating modernist literature. Yang Myung-moon selectively strengthened the aesthetic characteristics of his hometown’s Nostalgia to preserve the identity of the Writer who defected to South Korea.
