유구의 역사와 한반도

국문 초록

琉球의 역사가 요동치며 획기적인 변화를 도모한 시기에 중국대륙을 비롯하여 한반도와 일본열도 등의 주변국도 동란의 시대를 맞이한다. 중국에서는 주변 여러 나라에 猛威를 떨친 몽고제국의 권력인 元나라가 1368년에 망하고 明나라가 탄생하였다. 유구가 풍요로운 생활 속에서 안정적이고 평화로운 국가체제를 지속한 시기인 15세기경의 주변국으로 중국은 宋나라 말기에서 元나라 초기였다. 그리고 한반도는 고려에서 조선으로 넘어갔던 때였고, 일본은 무사정권의 연장이었던 무로마치(室町)시대였다. 당시 유구는 삼산의 통일 이전인 1372년부터 중국과의 공식적 외교관계인 明나라의 책봉을 받으면서 비교적 평화로운 왕국 체제를 유지하게 된다. 그러나 그 후 일본의 토요토미 히데요시(豐臣秀吉)의 일본 전국평정과 함께 유구의 안정적인 국가체제는 오랫동안 지속되지 못하였다. 1609년에 일본의 변방 사츠마번(薩摩藩) 시마즈군(島津軍)의 침략을 받으면서 유구의 정치․경제적 상황은 급변하게 된다. 이때부터 실질적으로 사츠마군의 지배하에서 일본 에도막부에 사절단을 파견하는 등 일본과 중국 모두에게 조공을 바치는 兩屬 체제에 접어들게 된다. 이러한 유구와 한반도는 고려 시대는 물론 조선 시대까지도 중요한 관계를 유지하며 주변국의 침략과 복속이라는 同病相憐의 고난을 겪었다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 유구 역사 속의 한반도 유민들의 유구 정착과 그 흔적 조명에 중점을 두었다. 구체적으로는 유구의 역사와 유구가 한반도를 중요한 교역국의 하나로 여긴 韓琉관계에 중점을 두고 유구국의 역사 변천을 고찰하였다.

영문 초록

At a time when the history of ryukyu has been revealed and a breakthrough has been made, neighboring countries such as the Chinese continent, the Korean Peninsula and the Japanese archipelago, will also face an era of chaos. In China, the Qing Dynasty, which was famous in neighboring countries, collapsed in 1368, and the Tang Dynasty was born. China was a neighboring country around the 15th century, when the ryukyu continued to maintain a stable and peaceful national system in an affluent life, and China was from the end of the Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the Qing Dynasty. And the Korean Peninsula was moved from Goryeo to Joseon, and Japan was in the era of Muromachi, a non-government regime. At that time, Ryukiyu was given the title of the MingDynasty, an official diplomatic relationship with China, from 1372, before the unification of Samsan, and maintained a relatively peaceful kingdom system. But then the politically stable national system of Ryukiu, along with Japan s national peace in Toyotomi Hideyoshi, did not last for a long time. In 1609, the political and economic situation in Ryukyu changes rapidly as it was invaded by Japan s neighboring Shatsumabon Shimazu County. From then on, under the rule of Satsuma, the government will enter a system of paying tribute to both Japan and China, including the dispatch of envoys to Japan s Tokugawa shogunate. The relationship between the Ryukyu and the Korean Peninsula was important not only during the Goryeo Dynasty but also during the Joseon Dynasty, and suffered from the invasion and subjugation of neighboring countries. Specifically, we consider the traces of the settlement of the Ryukyu of Sambyeolcho and Joseon as one of the most important trading countries, and send envoys several times to save Confucian scriptures and colonnades, while focusing on the relationship between Korea and Japan during the Joseon Dynasty, which also conveyed rare copper, plant and ship manufacturing techniques.
