국문 초록

뻬뚜르셉스까야의 작품은 바닥이 보이지 않는 지리멸렬한 일상의 어두운 현실로 도배되어 있다. 그런가 하면 뻬뚜르셉스까야의 작품은 전지적 작가 시점에 의해 인물들이 철저하게 통제되고 그들을 둘러싼 사건이 객관적이고도 세밀하게 묘사되어 있다. 이러한 특징을 빌미로 “인물의 드라마”가 아니라 “상황의 드라마”라는 평가를 받기도 한다. 이와 같은 특징을 종합하여 예로페예브는 뻬뜨루셉스까야의 작품 세계는 사회적 부조리에 의한 인간의 타락과 비극을 주제로 한 ‘60년대 작가’들과 인간 본성에 내재한 악에 초점을 맞춘 ‘다른 산문’의 그룹에 속한 작가들의 문학적 세계관과 깊이 조응하고 있으며, 그들의 문학을 주체적으로 재창조하고 있다는 평을 하기도 하였다. 본 논문은 뻬뜨루셉스까야의 작품에 나타난 비극적 파토스의 궁극적 원인은 무엇일까에 대한 의문에서 시작하여 그 비극성의 근본 원인을 현대 문학의 화두로 떠오른 ‘일상성’의 문제와 접목시키는 시도를 하고 있다. 이는 ‘일상성’이 함의하는 현대사회에 대한 비판적 사회학적 관점을 토대로 뻬뜨루셉스까야의 작품에 나타난 비극적 파토스가 그 관점들과 맺고 있는 공통된 사유적 관계를 천착한 것이다. 즉 뻬뜨루셉스까야의 작품에서 일상을 지배하는 이데올로기와 현대문명에 대한 비판이 어떻게 구현되고 있는지 고찰한 것이다.

영문 초록

The works of Petrushevskaya are filled with dark reality of dull daily lives in which the end is not seen. In the works of Petrushevskaya, the characters are controlled strictly by of the writer and the event around them are described in objective and detailed way. With the characteristics, her works are evaluated as “a drama of situation” rather than “a drama of characters”. Integrating all those characters, Yeropeyev said that the works of Petrushevskaya are deeply corresponding to the literary world view of writers in 1960s who deal with corruption and tragedy of human beings resulted from social absurdity and the writers who belong to “other prose” and focus on the evils inherent in human nature, and reproduce their literatures subjectively. This paper starts from the question on what the ultimate cause of tragic pathos represented in the works of Petrushevskaya is. It makes an attempt to connect the basic cause of the tragedy with the “Ordinariness”, the issue of modern literature. Based on the critical viewpoint that such ordinariness implies in terms of sociology on modern society, it investigated common cogitative relationship that the tragic pathos in the works of Petrushevskaya is related to the viewpoint. That is, this study investigated how the criticism on the ideology that dominates the daily lives in the works of Petrushevskaya is embodied.
