국문 초록

본 연구는 물리치료사들의 감염예방 표준주의에 대한 지식, 표준주의 관련 안전 환경과 수행도를 재활병원과 일반병원 각각에 대해 조사하고 이들 두 병원간의 차이를 규명하고자 실시되었다. 연구 대상자는 부산시 소재 일반병원의 물리치료사 77명과 재활병원의 물리치료사 104명이다. 일반적 특성과 감염관련 특성별 일반병원과 재활병원의 감염예방 표준주의 수행도 차이는 Mann-Whitney 검정의 정확검정으로 분석하였으며, 감염예방 표준주의 지식, 안전환경 및 수행도 간의 상관관계는 스피어만 순위상관계수(Spearman’s rank correlation)를, 두 병원 각각의 감염예방 표준주의 수행도에 대한 영향요인 비교는 단계적 다중 회귀분석을 이용하였다. 분석결과 일반병원 물리치료사들의 감염예방 표준주의 수행도에는 표준주의 인지, 병원감염관리 지침서, 표준주의 수행 환경이, 재활병원 물리치료사들의 감염예방 표준주의 수행도에는 표준주의 수행환경과 근무 경력이 영향요인이었다. 이를 통해 물리치료사들의 감염예방 표준주의 수행도 증가 및 병원감염률 감소를 위해서는 병원 특성별 영향요인을 고려하여 접근할 때 더욱 효율적일 수 있을 것으로 본다.

영문 초록

The study aims to identify some relevant factors influencing the compliance of standard precautions among physical therapists in general hospitals and rehabilitation hospitals. Subjects in the study were 77 general hospital therapists and 104 rehabilitation hospital therapists. Data were collected employing a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney, Spearman rank correlation coefficient and regression analysis. The analyses showed that the significant factors affecting the level of compliance with the standard precautions of therapists were ‘cognition of standard precautions’, ‘nosocomial infection control guideline’ and ‘safe environment’ in general hospitals; on the other hand ‘safe environment’ and ‘career’ in rehabilitation hospitals. In consequence, it is suggested that each hospital’s characteristics should be considered in order to improve physical therapists’ compliance with the standard precautions.
