만성질환과 대사증후군 관계 연구

국문 초록

대사증후군과 다양한 질환과의 관련성이 밝혀지고 사회적인 관리 필요성이 제기됨에 따라 본 연구를 통하여 대사증후군과 만성질환과의 관계를 총체적으로 살펴봄으로써 대사증후군의 영향범위를 조명하고 새로운 관련 질환을 밝혀봄으로써 대사증후군 관련 유병위험이 높거나 집중관리가 필요한 분야, 또는 새로이 심층연구가 필요한 분야를 제시하고자 하였다. 국민건강영양조사 4기 1, 2차 자료(2007년, 2008년) 중, 대사증후군 위험인자를 모두 포함하고 있는 9,020명을 대상으로, 대사증후군 보인자의 30개 만성질환별 오즈비를 구하였다. 그 결과, 대사증후군 위험인자를 포함하고 있는 고혈압, 고지혈증, 당뇨, 비만과 같은 질환에서 대부분 대사증후군 보인자의 해당 질환의 오즈비가 높았지만(5.4~7.4배), 새로이 뇌졸중과 치핵, 빈혈 등이 대사증후군과 관련이 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 한편, 기존연구에서 대사증후군과 관련이 있다는 일부 질환(우울증, 류마티스 관절염 등)은 관련이 없는 것으로 나타나 새로운 연구나 심층 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

As metabolic syndrome has a relationship with many chronic diseases and there emerges a social need to manage it. it is necessary to verify the effect scope of the MetS and to search for the new diseases showing relationships with the MetS and to specify the fields need to be managed intensively. The Korean National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey (KNHANES) data of 2007 and 2008 were used and 9,020 participants with all 5 risk factors of the MetS were involved. The odds ratio of the MetS for 30 chronic diseases is calculated. The diseases including the risk factors of MetS like hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus, obesity, show high odds ratio (O.R.:54.~7.4). Newly discovered diseases that have relationships with MetS were CVA, hemorrhoids and anemia. However, some diseases reported having a relationship with MetS such as depression and rheumatoid arthritis appeared to have no relationship. Maybe new and further study should be done for these new and contrary fields.
