조사자료의 오류 검색 방법에 관한 연구

국문 초록

19세기 후반부터 사회과학자들에 의해 사용되기 시작한 설문조사는 단시간에 많은 사람에게서 다양한 정보를 얻을 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 그에 반해 조사자가 무성의하게 설문에 응답하였을 경우에는 분석결과에 심각한 오류를 가져올 수 있다. 따라서 실제 분석 이전에 자료에 대한 오류검색작업이 필요하다. 본 연구는 설문자료에서 의심되는 오류의 형태를 구분하고 오류의 형태별로 오류를 검색하는 통계적 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 주기적 패턴을 보이는 설문자료는 스펙트럼 분석, 특정한 답을 연속적으로 응답한 경우에는 연 검정, 마지막으로 특정한 답을 과다하게 응답한 경우에는 빈도표 작성을 통하여 오류를 검색한다. 본 연구는 2013년 A 대학교에서 실시한 조사자료의 오류 패턴을 검색하고자 스펙트럼 분석, 연 검정, 빈도표 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구는 제시한 통계적인 방법을 통하여 오류가 있을 것으로 예상되는 관찰치를 일차적으로 검색하는 데 목적이 있다. 오류가 있을 것으로 의심되는 관찰치는 반드시 연구자의 검토를 거쳐야 하는 한계가 있다. 빅데이터의 경우는 연구자가 직접 자료의 오류를 검토하는 것은 현실적으로 불가능하므로 본 연구에서 제시한 통계적 방법을 이용하여 일차적으로 오류를 분류할 것을 제안한다.

영문 초록

Survey research which has been used by sociologists since the 19th century is useful for soliciting various data and information from many people in a short time. However, if the participants fail to carefully read and answer questions, the survey results will not be as accurate or useful as they could be. Thus, extensive checks on the raw data need to be performed before data analysis. This research focused on suggesting a statistical process to group errors in surveys and to test them by their type. There are different analysis process in accordance to the type of errors like the following: spectrum analysis for repeated patterns; run test for identical answers; frequency table for repeated answers. The three analysis processes were conducted in checking the survey errors for the research of A University in 2013. This study aims at testing observed value. The observed values containing possible errors need to go though the checking process. When error patterns are observed in big data, this study also suggests of using spectrum analysis, multiple run test, and frequency table.
