시뮬레이션교육프로그램이 간호대학생의 임상실습수행에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 임상실습수행에 도움을 제공하기 위해 개발된 시뮬레이션교육프로그램이 간호대학생의 문제해결능력, 자기주도학습 및 의사소통능력에 미치는 효과를 검정하기 위해 시도되었다. 시뮬레이션교육프로그램은 입원간호, 수술전 간호, 수술후 간호 및 신생아 간호의 4가지 시뮬레이션 시나리오로 구성되어 있으며, 간호대학생의 문제해결능력, 자기주도학습 및 의사소통능력을 향상시킬 수 있도록 개발되었다. 연구 대상은 K대학에 재학중인 41명의 간호대학생을 실험군으로, C대학에 재학중인 33명의 학생을 대조군으로 하였으며, 자료수집은 시뮬레이션교육프로그램 시행 전과 임상실습 종료 후에 시행하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과 시뮬레이션교육프로그램은 간호대학생의 자기주도학습(t=2.351, p=.021) 및 의사소통능력(t=2.076, p=.042)을 유의하게 향상시켰으며, 문제해결능력 또한 향상시켰으나 통계적인 유의성은 없었다(t=1.880, p=.064). 본 연구를 통해 개발된 시뮬레이션교육프로그램은 간호대학생의 임상실습수행에 긍정적인 효과를 제공하므로 이를 지속적으로 적용하고 운영할 수 있는 교육과정이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of a simulation education program on problem solving ability, self-directed learning, and communication competence in nursing students. The program consisted of four scenarios which includes admission care, pre-operation care, post-operation care of patient, and admission care of newborn. A nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used for identification of the effects of the program. The collected data were analyzed with the SPSS 18.0 program. There were significant difference in self-directed learning (t=2.351, p=.021) and communication competence (t=2.076, p=.042) in the experimental group compared to the control group. However, there was no difference in the problem solving ability (t=1.880, p=.064). These results indicate that the program developed in this study can be used to enhance clinical practicum in nursing students. However, the program did not significantly enhance problem solving ability, therefore further study is needed to promote the problem solving ability. We think that curriculum may be necessary to continue to apply the simulation education program.
