다문화 가정 아동의 읽기 학습에 영향을 미치는 변수 조사

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 다문화 가정 아동의 읽기 학습에 영향을 줄 수 있는 읽기 하위 변수를 살펴보고자 하였다. 읽기 수준에 따른 조음정확도, 어휘력, 음독능력, 문장배열, 문장완성, 어휘선택, 짧은글이해의 차이를 분석하였다. 다문화 가정 아동 68명을 대상으로 읽기성취도 검사인 KISE-BATT, U-TAP, REVT를 실시하였으며, 읽기성취지수에 따라 읽기학습 평균수준, 지체수준, 심한지체수준으로 나누어 분석하였다. 읽기학습성취에 미치는 변수를 살펴보기 위해 ROC 곡선 분석을 실시하였다. 다문화가정 아동의 평균수준과 지체수준에 비해 심한지체수준은 읽기 하위 변수 및 어휘수준에서 유의하게 낮았으며, 지체수준집단이 평균집단에 비해 문장배열, 어휘선택, 짧은글 이해에서 유의하게 낮았다. 조음정확도에서는 집단간 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 다문화가정 아동의 읽기학습에 미치는 변수는 짧은 글 이해, 문장완성, 및 어휘선택으로 맥락적 이해가 읽기 학습과 연결되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 다문화가정 아동의 초기문맥 경험이 매우 중요하며, 임상현장에서 이들을 위한 맥락적 이해가 요구되는 중재접근이 이루어져야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the sub - variables of reading which may affect the reading learning of children of multicultural families. The participants were 68 children of multicultural families and KISE-BATT, U-TAP, & REVT which are tests of reading achievement, articulation accuracy, and receptive vocabulary were conducted. According to the results of this tests, they were divided into the average level (AL), delay level (DL) and severe delay level (SDL) of reading achievement. Difference between the three groups were treated by one-way ANOVA and to examine the variables that affect reading achievement were treated by ROC curve analysis. The SDL group was significantly lower in reading sub-variables and vocabulary ability than DL group and AL group and ML group was significantly lower in sentence arrangement, lexical choice and short sentence comprehension than average group. There was no significant difference between the groups in the accuracy of articulation. The variables affecting reading learning in multicultural family children are short-article understand, sentence completion, vocabulary selection. Therefore, contextual understanding is linked to reading learning and providing initial context experience is very important for children of multicultural families.
