국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 중년층 1인 가구의 사회경제적 상태와 건강행태 차이 및 만성질환 유병에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하고자 하였다. 독립변수는 인구사회학적 특성(성별, 연령, 혼인상태, 교육수준), 경제적 특성(의료보장유형, 주택소유 여부, 종사상 지위, 연간 가구 총소득), 건강행태특성(장애유무, 주관적 건강상태, 흡연, 음주, 운동)으로 나누어 선정하였다. 이를 분석하기 위해 한국의료패널 2015년도 자료를 사용하였으며, 연구 대상자는 중년층 1인 가구 252명이었다. 자료분석은 SAS version 9.4 프로그램을 사용하여 t-검정(t-test), 분산분석(ANOVA), 상관분석(correlation analysis), 포아송 회귀모형(Poisson regression model)분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 중년층 1인 가구의 만성질환 유병에 영향을 미치는 요인은 여성(p<0.01), 연령(p<0.001), 자영업자(p<0.01), 주관적 건강상태(p<0.001), 음주(p<0.05)이었다. 이는 베이비부머 세대를 포함하여 미래에 노년층이 될 중년층의 경제적 상태 및 건강행태와 만성질환 유병이 관계가 있는 것을 나타낸다. 따라서 중년층 1인 가구의 건강습관이 개선될 필요가 있다는 것을 나타내며, 앞으로 노년층 1인 가구만이 아닌 점차 늘어나고 있는 중년층 1인 가구에 관한 연구의 필요성을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate the differences in socio-economic status and health behaviors among middle-aged adults in one-person households, and to identify factors that affect the chronic disease of one-person households. The socio-demographic factors (sex, age, marital status, education), economic factors (medical insurance, house ownership, employment status, household income) and health behavior factors (disability, self-rated health, smoking, drinking, exercise) were used in this study as independent variables. The data was obtained from Korea health panel 2015. The subjects were 252 persons between the ages of 40 and 64 in one-person households. Then, the data were analyzed with independent t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis and Poisson regression model using SAS package (version 9.4, Statistical Analysis System Institute, Cary, NC, USA). Factors significantly related to number of chronic disease of one-person household included female (p<0.01), age (p<0.001), self-employed (p<0.01), self-rated health (p<0.001), alcohol consumption (p<0.05). This indicates that there is a relationship between economic conditions and health behavior and people with chronic diseases including the baby boomer generation (including middle-aged). The results may suggest that one-person households among middle-aged adults need to improve health behavior and this study suggests the need for research that consider the middle-aged adults rather than elderly.
