국문 초록

도시마다 고속도로 톨게이트나 철도 역사, 공항 등 관문시설의 외관 디자인이 평범하고 비슷할 뿐만 아니라 지역별 특색이 없어 도시이미지를 제고하기 위한 관문시설의 경관개선이 절실한 실정이다. 세계의 관문도시로서 위상을 높여가고 있는 서울을 비롯한 6대 광역시의 주요 관문시설에 대한 첫 인상을 점검하고 개선하여 도시이미지를 향상시킬 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 관문시설별 중요도와 만족도를 파악하기 위하여 관문시설의 평가 구성요소 4가지 항목으로 분류하여 중요도 및 만족도 분석을 실시한 결과 4개의 사분면으로 나타났다. 대도시의 관문시설은 대부분 만족도가 낮게 나타난 항목인 제2사분면과 제3사분면에 분포하고 관문시설의 문제점을 종합하여 디자인과 색채, 시설물의 설치와 배치, 식재와 조경 등의 문제를 개선할 필요가 있다고 나타났다. 따라서 대도시의 관문시설에 대한 중요도 및 만족도 분석 결과를 바탕으로 도시이미지 향상을 위한 관문시설별 특화방안을 제시하였으며, 향후 도시이미지 향상을 통하여 도시재생 및 도시경쟁력 향상을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The designs of gateway facilities such as highway tollgate, railway station, and airport are simple and similar, the landscape improvements of the gateway facilities to enhance the urban image are in a desperate state. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance the city image through examining and improving the first impressions on the major gateway facilities of six metropolitan cities, including Seoul that is increasing its status as the gateway city of the world. The purpose of this study is to derive the problems regarding existing gateway facilities through importance-performance analysis to identify the importance and performance by each gateway facilities and the importance-performance analysis was conducted by classifying the gateway facilities evaluation components into four categories of the building, it appeared as four quadrants. Most of the large cities gateway facilities are spread in 2nd and 3rd quadrants that showed lower performance, and by concluding the problems of the gateway facilities, there are need in improving the problems such as design and color, installation and arrangement of the facilities, and planting and landscape. Special plan has been suggested by gateway facility type for enhancing the city image based on the IPA results regarding the gateway facilities, various analysis method have been used to compare and analyze the gateway facilities of large cities, and through the improvement of the city image, this could be used as basic data for urban regeneration and urban competitiveness improvement.
