대학 취업지원 프로그램 참여가 고용에 미치는 효과에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 청년 고용이 어려운 현실 속에서 대학에서 제공되는 다양한 각종 진로지도 프로그램 참여가 대학 졸업 후 일자리를 갖는데 미치는 영향을 주고 있는 지를 분석하며, 이를 바탕으로 어떤 형태의 진로지도가 대학생을 위해 필요한지를 제안하기 위한 목적이다. 본 연구의 분석자료로 한국고용정보원의 대졸자직업이동경로조사(graduates occupational mobility survey)를 활용하였다. 분석 방법으로 기술통계분석과 로짓분석(logit analysis)을 실시하여 참여여부에 따른 효과를 비교하고 결과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 진로 및 취업 관련 교과목 이수, 면접 및 이력서 작성프로그램에 참여한 졸업생의 취업 확률이 높았으나, 진로 관련 상담프로그램 경험 및 취업캠프에 참여한 대졸자는 취업 확률이 낮았다. 정책 제언으로 저학년에는 진로 관련 교과목을 통해 취업과 직업에 대한 다양한 지식 습득과 본인의 경력을 설계해 갈 수 있는 로드맵을 그려보는 것이 중요하다. 특히 고학년은 취업 기술을 위한 취업컨설팅 기회를 확대하는 것이 필요하겠다. 대학에서도 관련 교과목을 다양하게 제공과 미래 설계에 도움이 될 만한 내용을 커리큘럼에 포함하되, 단순한 교양과목으로 운영하는 것 보다는 전공에 맞춘 세부적인 과목 운영이 가능한 형태의 교과목을 제공하는 것이 필요하겠다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes whether participation in various job support programs provided by universities affects the employment of students after graduation, and aims to suggest what kind of career guidance program is needed for university students. The analysis of this study utilized the graduates occupational mobility survey of Korea Employment Information Service and statistical analysis comprising logistic analysis were conducted to demonstrate the effects of participation in job support program on employment. As a result of the analysis, college graduates who completed courses related to career and employment, or participated in interviewing skills and resume programs had a high probability of employment. However, the college graduates who participated in the career counseling program experience and employment camp had a low probability of employment. It is important to draw up a road map for designing students’ own career and acquiring various knowledge of employment and occupation through career-related courses in the lower grades. In senior year, it will be necessary to expand employment consulting opportunities for enhancing employment skills and to provide an curriculum providing a variety of useful contents and customized courses to each of academic department.
