흥미도 측도 관점에서 상대적 예방 강도의 고찰

국문 초록

빅 데이터 분석을 위한 가장 대표적인 방법이 데이터 마이닝이며, 특히 연관성 규칙 기법이 많이 활용되고 있다. 연관성 규칙 생성을 위한 기준은 크게 객관적 흥미도 측도와 주관적 흥미도 측도로 나누어진다(Park, 2016a). 가장 기본적으로 이용되는 객관적 흥미도 측도로는 지지도, 신뢰도, 향상도 등이 있다. 이러한 기본적인 측도를 활용하여 의미 있는 연관성 규칙을 찾아내는데는 한계가 있어서 그동안 이를 극복하기 위해 많은 연구들이 발표되었다(Park, 2017). 또한 여러 가지 상대적 인과 강도를 흥미도 측도의 관점에서 기존의 측도인 신뢰도와의 관계가 규명되기도 하였다. 본 논문에서는 여러 가지 상대적 예방 강도를 흥미도 측도의 관점에서 탐색하는 동시에 기존의 객관적 연관성 규칙 측도들과의 관계를 규명하였다. 그 결과, 동시 발생 빈도 또는 동시 비 발생 빈도의 크기가 증가함에 따라 상대적 예방 강도의 측도들은 모두 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이와는 반대로 불일치 빈도들이 증가하면 상대적 예방 강도의 측도들은 모두 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 양 또는 역의 신뢰도의 값이 음의 신뢰도의 값보다 작은 경우에는 음의 값으로 나타난 반면에 이들 신뢰도의 크기가 반대인 경우에는 상대적 예방 강도들이 모두 양의 값으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

Data mining is one of the most popular techniques for big data analysis, and association rule technique is widely used. The criteria for creating association rules are largely divided into objective interestingness measures and subjective interestingness measures. The most basic objective interestingness measures are support, confidence, and lift. There are limits to finding meaningful association rules using these basic measures, and many studies have been published to overcome them. In addition, the relationship between confidence and relatively causal strength has been clarified from the point of view of interestingness measure. In this paper, we investigated various relatively preventive strengths from the point of view of interestingness measure, and at the same time clarified the relationship with existing objective association rule measures. As a result, the relatively preventative strength measures were found to increase as the frequency of coincidence or frequency of concurrent incidence increased. Especially, when positive or inverse confidence value is smaller than negative confidence value, negative value is shown.
