영문 초록

This study examined trend of college writing education by reviewing 407 studies of college writing education field according to chronological periods and research topics. The results were as in the following. In the first period from Liberation to 2000, there were a small number of studies and these studies dealt with college writing education as Liberal Language Education focused on a grammar. After 2000, years of system reform of the college writing education, although numerous universities and researchers tried to access it in the new perspective, published studies which embraced varying flow were scanty. In the third period, after 2006, many studies which dealt with various research subjects were conducted. Establishment of Korea Writing Association was paved the way of this change. The number of studies about Education Theory and Teaching Method increased rapidly and with the interest on Academic Writing, each university conducted studies about Checking Status and Conditions as a method of monitoring their results of the change. While other subjects such as Teaching materials for College Writing, Writing Center, and Ethics of Writing were shed new light. In the forth period, after 2011, thanks to the Korea Conference on College Composition and Communication, this studies were swiftly increased in terms of quantity of the studies and diversity of research topics. Although the number of studies about Education Theory and Teaching Method also increased rapidly, an important change in this period is to increase of interests about Self-Reflection Writing, students as a writer, and their writing. College writing education researches are changed radically and the ambiguous identity of field of college writing education was somewhat clarified by effort of many researchers. However, there are a numerous number of topics on which we should focus to reach final destination understanding about students still. Following studies should set a direction of that.
