실험 수업에 대한 초등교사의 개념과 개념 생태 분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 실험 수업에 대한 초등교사의 개념과 개념생태를 분석하는 것 이다. 이를 위해, D시의 3개 초등학교에서 근무하고 있는 8명의 초등 교사를 대상으 로 실험 수업 전반에 관한 반구조화된 심층면담을 실시하였다. 실험 수업의 개념에 대한 내용은 실험 수업의 정의, 실험 수업의 목적과 필요성, 좋은 실험 수업과 나쁜 실험 수업의 범주로 유목화하였다. 개념 생태 분석은 Southerland, Johnston과 Sowell(2006)의 분석틀을 수정․보완하여 사용하였다. 개념 생태의 요소에는 인식론 적 신념, 정서적․감정적 측면, 교수/학습 성향, 경험, 자아효능감 등이 있다. 연구 결과, 실험 수업에 대한 초등교사의 개념은 조작, 흥미, 탐구, 직접적인 경험, 개념 학습과 관련되어 있으며, 교사들이 가진 개념들 사이에 차이점은 개념 생태의 요소를 구성하고 있는 인식론적 신념, 정서적․감정적 측면, 교수/학습 성향, 경험, 자아효능감 등의 상호작용에 기반하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 초등교 사를 위한 실험 수업 관련 연수와 탐구를 경험할 수 있는 기회 제공이 필요함을 시 사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the elementary school teachers\ conception and conceptual ecology of the laboratory instruction. For the purpose of this study, subjects were selected 8 elementary school teachers from 3 elementary schools in D city, and took part in semi-constructed deep-interview. The interview contents about the conception of the laboratory instruction were classified into the definition of laboratory instruction, the purpose and necessity of the laboratory instruction, and the good laboratory instruction and the bad laboratory instruction. And the framework for the analysis of the conceptual ecology about the laboratory instruction was used the framework of Southerland, Johnston, and Sowell(2006). The components of the teachers\ conceptual ecology were epistemological belief, affective and emotional aspect, learning disposition, past science experience, and self-efficacy. As a result, the elementary school teachers\ conceptions of the laboratory instruction were associated with manipulation, interests, inquiry, direct experiences, and conceptual learning. The difference of the teachers\ conception was grounded the interaction of epistemological belief, affective and emotional aspect, learning disposition, past science experience, self-efficacy as constructed components of conceptual ecology. These results suggest that the elementary school teachers is needed in training about laboratory instruction and to secure a time for laboratory instruction is needed.
