국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 예비교사들의 소셜미디어의 교육적 활용 경험과 향후 자신들이 진입하게 될 교수-학습 장면에서 소셜미디어의 적용 가능성에 대한 인식을 탐색하 는데 있다. 이를 위해, B시의 사범대학과 교육대학에서 교직과목을 이수 중인 예비 교사 166명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 예비교사들은 일상에서 소셜미디어를 주변사람들과 교류 또는 단순 재미, 사회적 이 슈 습득 등을 위해 활용하고 있었으며, 자기표현 또는 정보나 지식을 만들고 공유하 는 데는 그다지 활용 동기가 높지 않았다. 둘째, 예비교사들의 소셜미디어를 통한 교육적 경험은 학교 과제 준비나 토론 및 자료공유 등에 주로 관련되어 있었으나 질 적으로 심도 있는 활용에는 미치지 못하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 향후 교직 에서 소셜미디어 접목에 대해서는 대부분 긍정적으로 인식하고 있었으며, 미래의 교 육현장에서 소셜미디어를 보다 효과적으로 적용하기 위해 그의 올바른 사용에 대한 사용자 모두의 인식 변화, 현재 대학에서 소셜미디어 활용을 위한 물리적 여건 조 성 등 필요한 선결과제에 대한 인식이 공유되고 있었다. 이러한 분석결과와 논의점 들을 바탕으로, 본 연구에서는 예비교사들이 참여하는 소셜미디어 활용 대학수업에 서 고려되어야할 몇 가지 제언사항들을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the pre-service teachers’ perceptions of educational utilization of social media in elementary and secondary school classes they are going to charge in the future. To achieve this goal, the survey research was conducted to 166 pre-service teachers in B city with the questionnaire composed of 52 items. In accordance with the survey, the results are as follows: First, the respondents tended to utilize social media to interact people they want to know and simply for fun. But, expressing themselves and making and sharing knowledge and information were not considered greatly as motivations of using social media. Second, pre-service teachers’ educational experience of social media was related to preparation of schoolwork and resource sharing. But, even in this case, social media was not qualitatively implemented for education and learning. Third, the respondents would be willing to apply social media to their classes positively when they charge classes. In addition, they reached common grounds on enhancing effective utilization of social media by changing in perceptions of social media users, shaping the physical conditions in universities, social media literacy for pre-service teachers, and so forth. Based on the results, this study presented some implications could be considered to improve existing courses on utilization of social media in universities pre-service teachers enrolled.
