국문 초록

이 연구에서는 석사 학위 이상의 소지자 및 교육 경력 10년 이상의 과학과 고등학교 교사 40명을 대상으로, 2015 개정 교육과정에서 통합과학과 과학탐구실험 교과에 대한 인식을 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여, 2015년 11월 말부터 12월 초까지 2주간 온라인 및 오프라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 교사들은 미래 사회의 변화된 상황에 맞추어 창의·융합형 인재 양성의 필요성에 관해서는 근본적으로 동의하였지만, 개정 교육과정과 입시제도 간의 불명확한 연계, 학교 현장의 여건에 대한 고려 없이 이루어진 교육과정이라는 측면에서 실효성이 낮은 교육과정이라는 인식을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 대부분의 교사들이 통합교육의 방법이나 효과성, 통합과학의 내용 체계에서 수준과 양의 적절성 등에 관해 부정적인 입장을 취하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 교사들은 통합과학과 과학탐구실험 교과를 가르치는데 요구되는 교사의 수업 전문성 측면에서 많은 우려를 나타냈다. 이에 대한 교육적 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

In this study, we examined the expectations and concerns of 40 high school science teachers including the master s degree or higher and the teaching career over more than 10 years on the integrated science and the science inquiry experiment subjects in 2015 revised national curriculum. To do this, the online and offline surveys were conducted from the end of November 2015 until early December for two weeks. The results revealed that we could ascertained the teachers basically agreed on the needs for a creative·integral human resource cultivation according to the converged situation of the future society. However, they showed the awareness that 2015 revised national curriculum has a low effectiveness in terms of unclear linkage between the revised curriculum and admission system as well as no consideration for the school site conditions. In particular, the most of the teachers were taking the negative positions with respect to the method and effectiveness of the integrated education. Furthermore, they showed the low recognitions about the adequacy level and the amount of the contents system in the integrated science subject. And the teachers represented a lot of concerns about the teaching expertise that was required to teach the integrated science and the science inquiry experiment subjects. Educational implications of these findings were discussed.
