자기연구를 통한 교사학습공동체의 리더 역할 성찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 자기연구로서 과학교과 중심의 학교 안 교사학습공동체에서 활동한 경 험을 토대로 교사학습공동체에서 리더로서 수행한 역할을 성찰하고, 교사학습공동 체 리더의 역할에 관한 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 교사학습공동체에 참여하면서 녹음한 대화 내용을 전사한 텍스트 문서를 주된 분석의 대상으로 삼았으며, 코딩과 범주화를 통해 주제를 구성하였다. 그리고 이를 중심으로 연구자의 경험을 내러티브 형식의 글쓰기로 기술하고, 교사리더십의 속성에 비추어 성찰하였다. 분석 결과, 리더 역할에 관한 88개의 의미 단위를 추출하였고, 유사한 것을 묶어 33개의 하위범주와 10개의 상위 범주를 추출하였다. 학습공동체 리더의 역할은 ‘공동체의 비전과 목표 설정하기’, ‘개방적인 소통을 통해 공동체성 형성하기’, ‘구성원들 과 조율하며 공동체 운영하기’, ‘문제 해결을 통해 나와 구성원의 성장 촉진하기’, ‘역할 분담으로 리더십 분산시키기’의 5가지로 구성되었다. 이 연구를 통해 교사학습공 동체에서 중요하게 고려되어야 할 사항, 학습공동체의 초기 단계와 성숙 단계에서의 리더의 역할, 분산적 리더십의 발휘, 외부와의 협력에 관한 시사점을 도출할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study is a self-study which aims to reflect on role performance as a PLC leader and to draw some implications regarding roles of a PLC leader. All conversation in the PLC activity recorded, transcribed was subject to data analyses. Its themes were grounded on its coding and categorization scheme. With its themes, this researcher described her experiences as a narrative form and reflected her experiences in the light of attributes of teacher leadership within a PLC. A a result, there were 88 concepts drawn from the process of opening coding. 88 concepts were categorized into 33 subcategories and 10 categories. There were five major roles of a PLC leader such as establishing a shared vision and goal for a PLC, building a communal value through open-minded communication, running a PLC by negotiating diverse issues with its members, promoting the development and growth of its members and a researcher herself by actively involving in a process of problem-solving, and providing distributed leadership by its divisions of labor. In conclusion, this study helped us to draw important implications and considerations in a PLC activity which were roles of a leader both in an starter stage and in a mature stage, providing distributed leadership, and collaboration with external institutions or organizations.
