체육수업에서 초임 체육교사와 학생의 관계에 관한 정서적 지형도

국문 초록

이 연구는 체육수업에서 초임 체육교사와 학생의 관계에 관한 정서적 지형도를 알아보는데 있으며, 이를 통해 성공적인 교수·학습과 교사-학생의 관계를 형성하는데 도움을 주고자 하였다. J지역의 중등교사 4명을 대상으로 서술형 설문조사, 수업 일기, 면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였으며, 자료 수집은 2017년 4월부터 7월까지 이루어졌다. 초임 체육교사와 학생의 관계에 관한 정서적 지형도의 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초임 체육교사는 학생의 개인주의와 이기적인 모습, 여학생 지도, 교사와 학생 간의 문화적 차이로 인해 사회문화적 거리감이 형성되었고, 학급 문화와 학생 에 대한 이해, 교사와 학생이 동성 일 때 교사는 학생들에게 친밀감을 느꼈다. 둘째, 초임 체육교사는 자신의 교육적 목적과 학생의 목적이 일치하지 않은 경우 도덕적 거리감이 형성되었고, 학생의 수업목표 달성 및 행동의 변화를 보일 때 도덕적 친밀감을 느꼈다. 셋째, 초임 체육교사는 학생이 수업내용을 이해하지 못하고 소극적으로 참여하는 경우에 전문적 거리감이 형성되었고, 질문을 하며 적극적으로 수업에 참여하는 경우에 전문적 친밀감을 느꼈다. 넷째, 초임 체육교사는 수업의 운영과 학생의 부적절한 태도를 지도하는 과정에서 정치적 거리감이 형성되었고, 수업의 목표를 달성하기 위해 교사와 학생이 서로 협력하는 과정에서 정치적 친밀감을 느꼈다. 다섯째, 초임 체육교사는 학생이 부적절한 행동을 보일 때 상호작용의 빈도나 지속성이 낮아져 물리적 거리감이 형성되었고, 교사가 학생들과 친근감을 유지하며 긍정적인 상호작용을 하면서 물리적 친밀감을 느꼈다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine emotional geography in the relationship between beginning physical education teachers and students in physical education class. This is expected to help achieve successful teaching and build effective teacher-student relationships. Data were collected from four middle school teachers in a given (J) area through open-ended questions, class diaries and interviews. Data collection took place from April to July 2017. The results of emotional geography on the relationship between beginning physical education teachers and students are as follows. First, in socio-cultural geography, beginning physical education teachers felt a socio-cultural distance because of factors such as student individualism, selfishness, girl students guidance and cultural difference between teachers-students. But they felt socio-cultural intimacy because they understood the class culture and students and many parts had teachers and students communicating with each other when they were the same sex. Second, in moral geography, such teachers felt a sense of moral distance when their educational purpose and that of students did not match. But they felt moral intimacy when the students achieved the class goal and changed their behavior. Third, in professional geography, such teachers felt professional sense of distance when students could not understand the class content or failed to actively participate in the class. But they felt professional intimacy when students asked questions and actively participated in class. Fourth, in the political geography, the beginning physical education teachers felt a political sense of distance in the course of guiding inappropriate attitudes of the students and the operation of class. But they felt political intimacy as teachers and students collaborated to achieve the goal of class. Fifth, in physical geography, the beginning physical education teachers felt a physical sense of distance because the frequency and persistence of interactions were low when students showed inappropriate behavior. But they felt physical intimacy when they maintained an affinity for students and had positive interactions.
